I was hoping Halak would get the start tonight.

Hitch needs to show that Halak is the No. 1 Goalie.

But anyways... Oshie will score 500 goals tonight.

How has he not shown that? But Elliott doesn't deserve to ride the bench...He's just as good. Halak lost last game, now it's Elliott's turn, and with back-to-backs this weekend they will each split starts again.

I just wonder if that means the same thing to Stewie and Hitchcock.

I bet a bag of crispy bacon that Stewart gets in a fight tonight. Whether he contributes on the ice in a skill position, I'm a little skeptical but hoping for the best.

I personally will be interested to watch this game to see how Pietrangelo handles a rare breed of forward like Tavares, one of the few players who thinks the game better than Petro, arguably as well as or better than Crosby. They don't play each other often and there are not really any other forwards like him, Datsyuk is similar with better hands and better reads, so I am very curious to see how Petro stacks up.

I think this is the kind of player that Pietrangelo could potentially struggle with, since they share strengths but I think that Tavares just thinks the game a little better. And paired with Huskins on his first game back, this is asking a lot of young Alex Pietrangelo.

However, the rest of the Blues' game perfectly counters the Islanders. A strong dump and chase, hard forecheck game is exactly what the Islanders' defense struggles with, so Tavares may not get much offensive zone time.

If this is your first time watching Tavares, you'll be impressed with how sound he is defensively and through the neutral zone, and really in all aspects of the game. I think Backes matches up well though since he just eliminates the player's body, which cuts into all of Tavares' strengths.

I'm just pretty intrigued by the matchups, should be a good game.

I really don't like Reaves sitting out, seeing as how he's one of the harder workers on the team, but if it motivates Stewart, then I'm all for it.

I expect a strong effort by the Blues after Tuesday's debacle.

I'm excited to see what we get out of Stewart. I'm still a fan of the guy even though I understand why people are frustrated.

I have to say, I wonder if we appreciate Pang enough. I know I don't. He just summed up Chris Stewart beautifully I thought.

I agree...Panger has really grown on me. To be honest, I couldn't stand him when he first came here. But he really has some good insight and a lot to add. I liked the interview with him and Hitchcock at the beginning too. It seems Hitch and Army have a great relationship that has had a huge effect on Hitch's success here.

I'm kinda surprised Porter isn't on the 3rd line.

OK seriously I refuse to believe there are worse actors in the world than the people in the Dirt Cheap commercials. Absolutely awful.

Easton, he said he believes that Stewart is working hard. He compared him to Brendan Shanahan, but the difference was when Shanny wasn't scoring, he found other ways to be effective.

Said if he's going to be on a line with Scott Nichol, he's going to be expected to work and thinks it could be a good thing.

I will be watching Mr. Pietrangelo very closely tonight. In fact he's the only reasoning I'm watching the game .

Go Blues!

Okay, since Stewart said it would be the best game of the season for him... I predict:

416 Goals.

Oh, and he makes 36 saves.
