wow, so one score a goal tonight. If you had any ounce of common sense, and have watched hockey before, you would know rookies begin to slow down as the season goes along. Where has Matt Read been lately? They arent the sole reason for the slump, but they are definitely one reason

Either a stick or puck lost a fight to him during warmups. I don't think anyone saw exactly what happened.

you can argue all you want with me (we both have a right to own opinion). Just keep it civil.

They are certainly gonna have and have had their moments, but the experience they are getting is something that i think is gonna really be worth it come playoff time..I think our club has performed well overall considering the obstacles they are dealing with from week to week...

Email the league, I remember when they gave him that one phantom assist earlier in the year, Penguin fans undies were in a bunch about it. Get that point for our man!

A lot better in the second period. I pity the poor coke machine that had to give it's life for it to happen though. We're still making a few too many mistakes defensively (Coburn), but we came out with a lot more energy and intensity this time. We went into the tough areas as well, something we avoided in the first period.

Kassian is one strong dude. Sestito looked groggy after that fight, despite getting the upper hand at the beginning of the fight. Edit: I know he tweaked his knee when he fell, but I think his head was spinning a bit as well.

Simmonds and Hartnell on the same PP is somehow working like a charm. Giroux and Hartnell really turned their play around in this period.

Lilja has been surprisingly solid. Very good pk shift. He is slooowww though.

Gustafsson should do that more often. That was a pretty damn good shot he got off. Great rush by Voracek as well.

Tyler Myers lost a board battle against Eric Wellwood. That's just wrong.

Couturier's looking a little better than he's done lately as well.

Timonen's looking a little feisty out there. I like it.

Definitely feeling a lot better about the performance after the second than the first.

Now I don't want to re-hash posts from February 2011 but if only they could play like that for 60 minutes

Fake Panotch on twitter tonight: "Kimmo Timonen will strap this team to his back and lead them up goal mountain"

I love that account.

Horrible goal surrendered gave Buffalo a 2-0 lead.

Briere was apparently injured during a play in which he was penalized.

Sestito was injured during a fight.

Laviolette must have crushed a vending machine during intermission.

Totally different period: Now it is 4-2.
