I suggested we sign Moore back before he signed with TB. Suggested we trade for him back before the TDL last year, too. Looks like we finally got him.
Its a good move. He was very noticeable against the Caps/Habs series. 7th rounder back makes this acceptable.
We'll see if Moore wants to stay with us and lets see if DW likes him to re-sign him. May not be bad at all for someone who I don't think ever considered coming to the western conference.

That was my thought; that deal that went under the radar and ends up paying huge dividends.

What about Demers + Braun for Weber + Suter? Also Greiss + Niemi + 1st for Lundqvist.

Yep, when the Sharks face NYR in the Finals, Fedotenko better run and hide.

Doesn't hit or block enough shots for my liking ... no where near worth what we paid either
But whatever ... it's a seller's market as stated earlier in the thread. Let's hope he turns it up a notch in the postseason.

You know what's funny? When you break down Sharks players by their original position, you get:
Clowe-Thornton-Havlat
McGinn-Marleau-x
Winchester-Pavelski-x
x-Couture-x
x-Moore-x
x-Handzus-x
x-Desjardins-x
x-Mitchell-x

Really nice job by wilson there. he knows if we're really deep down the middle, there won't be anything left to play against.

Barely any RWers. I guess that means more Hella-copter lines.

Glad we got a good portion of our work done with before the deadline.. prices are probably going to ridiculous if this deal is any indication.

You do have to wonder how much that incident/fine put doubt in the Bolts management about him.

Overpayment by the Sharks. Greiss + 1rst for Lundqvist and then Niemi for Rinne. Easy.

None. The TB writer said that SY and Moore's agent had been discussing an extension and weren't able to come to an agreement.

Any idea what kind of contract Moore would be looking for?

i like this trade. not physical but oh well. IMO, he will be resigned come the offseason, as to me he is mitchells replacement. speedy winger that pks, and can contribute. mitchell becomes a 4th liner, and if he wants to stay, he takes a much lower hit.

winchester-desjardins-mitchell
thats a very good bottom 6, and for all of you who whine about mitchell, hes an effective 4th liner, playing in a spot he doesnt belong.

Personally I don't like a player that gets pushed around as easily as Mitchell on the 4th line.

Player who is good defensively, can play pk, and can forecheck. He can produce given soft minutes and/or good linemates.
Most of all, brings speed and toughness/grit. Not super physical, but the bottom six does not suffer from that.
