Really need the 2 points and it would be great for them to break their winning streak against us. But, if this happens, it helps st louis go for 1st. Then it's us vs detroit in the 1st round again. I don't want that. I want the Blues in round 1. Either way, I want to win tonight though.

You beat me to it. Cleary is also out. Let's light the lamp early and often on MacDonald.

Also, could you imagine if we had a guy name "tatar" on our team.

Well if they are going to lose at home, this would certainly seem like the closest it will get. The Wings have carried the play in their matchups to this point in the season. But no Cleary, Zetterberg, and Howard is a huge deal especially with how well the Preds have been playing. Would not surprise me if this was the streak stopper, Detroit needs to stay out of the box, it is really important in every game but especially now that they have Joey MacDonald in goal. Should be an exciting game.

I think Pekka is due for a Shutout also so I'd be keen on capitalizing on PP more than staying out of the box...especially since Nashville's been atrocious on the PP lately.

Hörnquist out... is he the main problem for bad power-play? No screens / tip-ins / carbage goals?

As a Wings fan, I really think this is the game we lose (to end the streak), but hopefully not before the overtime to get some points.

It's a tough call right now who's the better opponent in the first round. I'd actually rather see Detroit. I've noticed some regression in their post-season success the last year or two, while St.Louis has nowhere to go but forward. That's a team built for the playoffs. Nothing says we can take you on, like ending their home winning streak. 2 Pts please.

Where's our neighborhood sharp-shooter? Need some motivation!

Ok, boys. If you win tonight you make history because it ends a record breaking streak. The world will stand up and take notice of the Nashville Predators.

In reality, a win tonight is just another two points. It helps the team keep pace with St Louis and Detroit. Hugely important for that reason, and that reason alone.

I'm betting all my Vcash on the Pred's for this game. We will break the Wings streak!

I miss this. I miss all you Thrash fans. :] The Stapler scores the clutch overtime 3v3 goal.

If Halak plays like he did for Montreal, they are the last team I want to play.

I should post here more. I have been pumped about this game all week, and I am currently washing the stink from the Bruins loss out of my jersey. I will fill it with the stench of victory whiskey this evening.

Lineups in the OP need some adjusting.. my best guess would be

Erat-Fisher-Kostitsyn
Smith-Legwand-Bourque
Wilson-Spaling-Tootoo
Halischuk-Smithson-Yip
