Gaunce would be a bit of a reach for where we'll probably be drafting, wouldn't he?

But he's plays rugby, so he's okay in my book

Well, i dunno, it`s hard to say, different sources have him ranked at different places. But if he`s available when we draft, or if our GM (whoever that is) can do some swindling to move up we should definitly have this guy at the top of our list.

To be honest I rather go for a centre with a higher ceiling offensively than Gaunce. We are drafting the highest since Carey Price and we need a gamebreaking forward. I believe Gaunce's ceiling is a second liner and thats if he reaches his full potential. Not interetested lest we draft mid round

Some of the stuff I've read has him projected as no better than a 3rd line center. No thanks.

If we get another pick, by all means.

He sort of reminds me of another 6'2 centre we drafted who was supposed to become a top 6 player, then a top 9 player, then a solid 4th liner, then people considered him as a career AHLer.

If Galchenyuk is gone, I'm down with this. It looks like the top 12 is littered with D-men, which I'm not interested in, in the least. We've gotten lucky with a couple of D picks (first Subban and now Ellis), and i think we need to go hard after a forward (preferably a big center) with our first pick. Gaunce and Galchenyuk are the players i would prioritize with that pick. I'm a little wary of taking the Czech or Latvian player, simply because we don't have a great record of making euros work here. but I'd still either one of them ahead of a D, if they indeed have top line potential. If not, it's really the two N.A. guys or maybe trade down.

Have you ever seen him play? The guy is unreal.

I want one of the G's!

Grigorenko, Galchenyuk or Gaunce, I would trade our 1st round draft pick and a prospect to move up to #2 to land Grigorenko who might be the next Malkin.

Actually that reads as "at the very least a solid third center, but has the potential to be a second-line centre in the NHL"

Depending on where we pick, he certainly looks worth a good long look

I don't see drafting a guy with poor skating in the top 15, no matter how big or skilled he is.

Alex galchenyuk must be the guy the habs scout if not from his injury he would be a top 3 IMO i have seen a couple of videos from him and he has little to nothing to be jealous about Grigorenko or Yakupov he is bound for elite in the nhl soon enough.

For sure Yakupov would be awesome or Grigorenko but Galchenyuk is more realistic for us.

What do you guys know about Falksa? He plays for kitchener a team that has produced 2 great prospect in the last two years in Skinner and Landeskog he might be worth a look at since he is high.

So what you are saying is that as long as Gaunce doesn't sever his achillies in a freak accident causing his skating to go even further downhill he'll be fine?

TB wins, we are back in the top 5 of the draft!

Massive game tomorrow, regulation loss and we are 4th.

Totally agree but is his skating that bad?
