Nice. Would love to see him sometime next week. If he really is truly 100% by Saturday, play his ass.

Would love to see JVR come back and go ape****. Hopefully the time off has also helped any of his other nagging issues.

Briere is skating in a non-contact jersey, Feb. 17; Sestito is not at practice
More updates will be issued as the day proceeds.
Sestito is not at practice.
Simmonds is not at practice, probably related to his mouth injury.
Meszaros is paired with Grossman.

FEBRUARY 17:
Jagr is at practice.
JVR is at practice.
From Randy Miller, Feb. 17:

JVR is participating in #Flyers practice wearing regular white jersey. He can be hit.

I like this personally.
Briere has always been a defensive liability and takes bad penalty pretty regularly and with him not showing up offensively he is just not worth having around while the rest of the teams defense is floundering.
We have to many bruisers so Sestito isn't important.
And Mez is doing better.
I feel it is for the best (assuming Simmonds is fine)

Poor Gustafsson. Had a great game and now is getting sent down. Well he should be sent down instead of being #7. Carle-Bourdon pairing has been struggling tremendously though. Was hoping that pairing would have been changed.

It will be nice to see JVR back in the lineup. Hopefully he can break out once he gets his feet under him.

It hasn't? No idea why Laviolette would have Bourdon playing on the 2nd pair ahead of both Grossman and Meszaros. That just seems stupid.

I was expecting a Carle – Grossman 2nd pairing myself, and Meszaros could babysit either of Bourdon or Gustaffson at reduced minutes.

I would love to see Gus get more games in the NHL but it looks like he's the odd man out. Personally I'm glad Briere is out

I was hoping for this. Mez has been routinely jumping into plays and trying to create at the expense of odd man rushes. This affords our most talented offensive defenseman to get into the play knowing that we have a safety valve back there just in case.

Not sure why the deadline is relevant. Homer told JVR he wasn't going to trade him before the deadline.
Of course, he told Jeff Carter the same thing on June 22....

Jaromir Jagr and Andrej Meszaros returned to practice Friday after missing Thursday's game. Both are expected to play Saturday. Danny Briere wore a non-contact jersey in practice.

We really have the injury bug this year huh? Sestito out 6-8 weeks with a groin tear? What luck!
