I don't get the Lewis hate. He's not around to score goals.

Now trade a defenseman and get Slava back in the lineup where he belongs

Because people live in a fantasy stat world and think goals and points are the only things that matter.

Another terrific Dean Lombardi pickup hitting the waiver wire.

Hmmm...sounds like a plan to me....
Hunter could help out the kids in Manch.....regarding Moreau, he's just sitting back collecting his paycheck, what a piece of work this guy is . If he didn't want to play in the AHL, he shouldn't have come to the east coast.

So after 4/4 of the season we are where we have been in pre season roster whise ???

I don't get Lombardis 5 year plan.
But since i learned 5 years aren't actually 5 years i find comfort in the thought the roster will be complete in 2018

So he could be another dime a dozen player like Jerred Smithson?

Trevor Lewis = Jeff Giuliano, except he was drafted int he first round. Bust.

To get back on topic, Hunter worked his ass off in training camp to earn a roster spot, so kudos to him for that. and he's been a good soldier this season.

Fortunately for the Kings, some younger players are able to step into NHL roles now.

The Kings would like to hire you as a ticket rep. What do you want these guys to do, score goals? These guys are out there each and every night giving 75% effort!

I don't get using Trent Hunter as an excuse to blame Lombardi.

Every team goes through guys like Hunter who are on the roster fringe, who are brought in for a specific purpose and who tend not to last very long.

I for one never expected very much from Trent Hunter. I'm not sure what anybody else feels they were promised about Hunter.

We expected what he has done before, 15-20 goals. He has 2.

You mean the one Hunter that scored at the same pace last season as he did this year? How could anyone suspect 15-20 goals?

When Lombardi was signing Wilsie/Thornton/Calder types, I had no problem with it. We needed the warm bodies to fill up roster spots while the franchise was being rebuilt.

But here we are, 6 years later, and we're still signing warm bodies to fill up roster spots because we have no depth. Hunter is simply emblematic of the problem.

Take out last season where he was injured and look at his first 5. 10-20 goals consistently.

Silly me - I thought that the outcome of the game was determined by which team scored the most goals. Apparently there is a "grit and effort" component to the standings that isn't published...

He's was the 17th pick in the draft and is a role player. You can find a bunch of T. Lewis in the AHL so to me right now he is a bust. Yes he hustles but bottom line is he has 3 points in 48 games that is embarrassing.

After a bad knee injury, stuff like that hurts someones play. And outside of one season he had gotten consistently worse in goal scoring after his 20 goal season

People are actually mad about Hunter? Who was so impressive in camp that it's somehow a travesty that Hunter got that spot instead?

If you actually thought he would score 15-20 goals then ask yourself why Lombardi could sign him for a mere $600k when 15-20 goalscorers usually get millions? He didn't even get a contract in free agency, he had to prove himself in training camp to earn one. That tells you what the expectactions were. It was a low risk, low reward signing. The rewards were low, so to the waiver wire he goes. Teams make these kinds of moves all the time, I don't see what the big deal is.

Whats wrong with you guys........

Lewis turn slowly into a Draper like player.
Someone the oponents really hate to play aginst and scores here and tehre.

Exactly what i want from our 4th line center.
Now the coaching staff has to turn Clifford into a MocCarthy and we are set at 4th line.
That just requires to explain the game of hockey to Clifford and tel him to stop to fight

You boldfaced my first sentence and conveniently skipped my second, particularly the first two words of it.
