Come back next year, I wouldn't mind fetching this return twice.

Agreed. Gill has been great in his 3 years here, helped Subban and Gorges and was a great leader for this hockey team. I really wish him good luck in Nashville and I'll also be cheering him on

Good luck and Thank You Hal

Best part of the 09 re-tool. I'm sure quite a few of the young guys we have on here wouldn't as far along as they are without him.

Was not a fan of Gill for the longest time when he was with other teams, was not a fan of the signing when we got him... but wow, I was wrong on that one. He was a rock for us and I've been turned 180 on appreciating him in his 3 years here. I hope he does win another Cup with the Preds and would echo the sentiment others have expressed in hoping he might come back as a D coach for us one day!

Gill was such a great player for us. He went way above what everyone expected, helped take us deep into the playoffs in 2010, and was a class act and a real leader in our locker-room. I also wouldn't be surprised if Gill is responsible for molding Gorges, among others. Best of luck Hal Gill!

Thanks for the hard work, Hal. The few things you were good at, you were actually excellent at, at even a back-handed compliment like that is something you can feel proud about. And I'll also concede that, unless PG used some jedi mind tricks, your worth "league-wide" was apparently much higher than I would have guessed or given you credit for.
