Gotta question Sabres scouts because you have to shoot low stick side against Price on the SO.

I agree. I think Diaz has been pretty solid lately, and he has shown a lot of improvement all year. Out of the two Swiss, I would definitely keep him and look at dealing Weber.

Worst place to finish the year. You don't have a high pick and you don't make the playoff.

Loose-Loose situation.

Habs need to finish in a position where they can draft one of the top five offensive player in the draft. Those five are : Yakupov, Grigorenko, Forsberg, Faksa, Galchenyuk. My guess is these guys will be gone past the #8 draft position. We need to tank to at least grab a top 8 draft pick, the higher the better

These next six games could easily break the Leafs. Not a walk in the park. Habs could really gain some ground and catch the Leafs the next 6 games.

I remember the Sabres killing Price with that type of shot earlier this year.

If you truly are a Habs fan then why don't you change your avatar to a Habs player?

Incredibly sketchy game. A real testament to the terribleness of the Sabres.

Our best line was made up of a guy coming of an injury that cost him much of the season until this point, and 2 guys who were benched a few games ago. The team missed defensive assignments like clockwork. Yet we come out with a W.

I must hand it to the Sabres, they are tanking royalty.

There is no pleasure to be had when it is loose-loose.

Habs WON'T finish in the bottom two. The rest of the players from 3 to 15 are about the same.

I want the habs to trade that pick and package it to get a VERY good player, a center or a top-two d-man.

Why not? That would mean the team is improving. I would love a top 5 pick, and I have been all for selling this year, but if they continue to have this improved record its a better sign going into next year.

Without a top 5 pick there are still a lot of things that can be done to improve the team. You can amass a few extra picks with deadline deals. The more picks you have the better your chances of acquiring some good players. If we bury Gomez in the offseason, and drop some extra salary, you can improve the team with some UFA's.

+ a OT/SO win against Boston, and we are only 3 points behind.

That's another possibility I have been considering as well. But we are in a situation where it is so tough to tell where we will be at season's end. Dealing a 1st right now in package for some established player might end up being a wise decision. Then again it could also be a huge mistake.

If the team we would theoretically be dealing with estimates that our 1st will be a high one and it turns out we finish 9th or 10th that could be an awesome situation for us. But an awful risk for us as well.

I gave up on this season awhile ago, but I am always happy with a win. Let the draft take care of itself.

watching our defense in OT was painful

the weber-campoil pairing let off so many wholes

at one point in OT there was a BUF player along the board with 3 canadiens watching the puck and a wide open BUF player i front of the net

Don't watch it. Dull, dull game. Two teams trying to tank playing a I'm-lazyer-than-you game.
