Pretty much what a few have been saying all along...it would start with Pavelski or Couture and go from there and it's just not worth it.

If he's not moved before the TDL though, things could get interesting in the offseason.

For picks wouldn't have been that bad, though we really need to restock ourselves and I'm sure many here would blow a gasket.

article on ESPN by Prospectus seems to think Komisarek makes sense for us...

Personally, I want no part of him. The best thing to happen to Team USA in the Olympics was him getting hurt and not playing.

I honestly don't get the defensemen rumors. Why do they need a defenseman? Unless they can ship White out then they need another defenseman to have the full complement of 8 NHL d-men they've been fortunate to have all year. But White's not going anywhere and they don't need 9 NHL defensemen considering they're running out of roster spots as it is.

He already vetoed a trade to the Sharks once in the last couple of years, no? It would seem to be an issue of wanting to stay out east for him.

This deal can't go through until Philly moves out a contract as they are at the 50 contract limit...so there will be another trade sometime soon.

Sharks need a serious upgrade on D. With Dougie out indefinitely, our defense looks like this:

Vlasic-Boyle
Burns-Demers
Braun-Vandermeer
White

And you know for some unexplainable reason to anyone but Todd McLellan, Colin White will be playing more often than not. This defense cannot support a team going for a Cup. This may be an unpopular opinion because of the cost, but I think we should be going after Suter. He's amazing defensively, can help out offensively, and does the little things.

Suter isn't going to be traded.

If Murray is going to be out long term I wouldn't be surprised if Wilson picks up a d-man but it would probably be a player more like Allen.
