First game ever for me tonight. May it be better than the Detroit game. Waited forty years for this. I may get weepy.

I'll be at the Bell tonight, hopefully it's a good game! Probably the last time I'm going this year.

Getting a better draft pick by finishing lower in the standings is a consolation prize, not something to strive for. I don't think this year's team is good enough to go on the run necessary to get into the playoffs at this point, but I certainly want to see them try. Win today, get four back, and who knows what happens. If the 2011-2012 Canadiens manage to squeak into the playoffs they'll do so with an awful lot of momentum.
i agreee .i'd rather follow the wings blueprint than the pens.

In the Gauthier era, aside from this season, we've shown time and time again that we can beat any other team home or away.

Show me one team that isn't "full of mediocrity".
Vancouver, Detroit, Chicago, Boston, San Jose, Pittsburgh.

Also, the natural result of parity in a league is that every team can always have a chance to beat another. Don't tell me I don't know how the league works when I have plenty of experience following sports leagues under a cap(NFL and NHL).

Think Chicago cares that they won the Cup in part to picking #3 and then #1 in consecutive years? Yeah, didn't think so...and it was still a hard fought series. And they'll be drowning in pleasure for years to come with that duo of Kane and Toews.

What would've been awesome is if Gionta was healthy and scored one of his baseball swing goal.

Win this one for the Kid.

(Though as he wanted to go into the HOF as a Met, he'd probably be on the Islanders bandwagon )
