No sense in trading established players like MaxP for a pick.

If you want the top pick in the draft bad enough , you are sending at least 3 1st rounders the other way. Columbus would know they want Grigorenko right? Losing out on Yakupov or Grigs is not compensated by a 2nd round pick, or any combination of picks other then 1st. If you are moving from 4th to 1st, you give CBJ your current 1st and another 1st. If you want to move up 7 spots, at least 3 1st rounders, and probably more still.

^ this last year Ottawa couldn't move up at all and they had the 6 and the 21st pick.

Doubt montreal can move that high at all. Edmonton asked for Erik Karlsson for the first overall last year so think that high for the first overall this year.

I'm not too acquainted with the draft, however our 1st will be anywhere from 4th - 7th, and the 2nd in the early 30's. Plus a prospect (Gallagher?). Maybe throw in one more prospect? Or is that still not enough?

It's not very common to package your first second and a prospect, it is just not that common and doesn't happen a lot.

Everyone saying that this year is about Grigorenko and Yakupov is wrong, Yakupov goes first and it's anyone's game after that, lots of chatter about Grigorenko falling off a bit and turning off many teams.

Best case scenario for Montreal is Columbus and Edmonton drafting Yakupov and Murray and then trading up from 4th-8th to get the 3rd overall pick (Grigorenko), but I think you'd still be surprised at how much it would take.
