Maybe we can force him to retire and make him the Oilers power skating coach.

Funny how you claim he never takes a hit to make a play, yet the picture in the OP is from a play where he took a big hit to make a play on the puck.

Really? I want to see what him and Belanger can do together. Could be an awesome duo.

Unless we get an incredible offer for Magnus (which doesn't seem likely) we should hold on to him and let him develop with age. Absolute worst case scenario is that he would be a good fourth/third line defensive type player.

The guy has great tools and as the team grows and becomes more dominate, so will he. Imagine if the canucks got rid of the sedins when they were 22/23/24 years old. Patience is the key.

So a rookie/young player is having a tough time adjusting to the NHL? Alert the press? Come on now.

Maybe we could just transplant his legs onto Gagner's body.

im still befuddled by our coaching staff putting omark with RNH-Eberle earlier in the year when hall had the flu, would have made so much more sense prv.

when healthy the lines are a no brainer to me:

hall-gagner-hemsky
prv-rnh-eberle

You have a great memory if you remember that exact play and what happened just before this picture was taken.

Even better.

But just the legs. I want to see Gagner's body with those tree stumps and his little hobbit feet.

no kidding. The kid has underachieved this year BADLY, but he isn't the first young player and WON'T be the last to have struggles, if the NHL were an easy league to play in, we'd all have had cup of coffee by now.

Prv already plays every aspect of game well except the Offensive side ,will he learn it ...maybe but even if not he has valuable attributes not to give up on him.

Not me.

Alex Plante could have his skates tied together and still beat me in a race.

Well I make Gagner look like a towering giant, so I'm that boat with you too.

I attribute much of this to the coaching he has received since coming over from Sweden.

I wonder how much different his development would be if he had a mentor like Alfie on the team.

Well we can all agree Lander was not a good offense mentor.

Lander and Omark have had the same coaching no? Both seem to have a lot more grit, and never quit in them.

Paajarvi needs to make his play worthy of his first name. When I think of the name 'Magnus', I picture a huge guy who is ready to kick ass. Until he does this, we should all call him Maggie.

You've soured on the player, that's fine, but you're not going to convince us.

What are you taking about?

Don't get me wrong, I still think he's going to be a big part of this team. His speed still amazes me but will he ever find his Hallism. The willingness risk bodily injury to make a play or put the puck in the net.

You think he quits, which simple isn't the case, he's struggled, but I've always seen a ton of try in Maggie
