I'd say he's stopped progressing, but not regressing either. Made a few dumb mistakes/penalties but he hasn't been out of control bad like he was before.

I'd say middle pairing
in the AHL?

Any chance he could take Murray's spot in a couple years as a #4/5 dman?

Not only does Petrecki get his first goal today in a 2-1 win, Stalock gets a W in his first start this year. Stopped 15 of 16 shots.

As I tweeted (and have posted on Sharkspage) Petrecki's last three goals have been game winners...and Stalock looked like he hadn't missed a day.

After watching all 3 of the goaltenders in Worcester, who do you feel has more scope and a brighter future? Stalock Sateri or Sexsmith?

You're going to hate the answer...it's too early to tell.

Has Stalock fully recovered? Looks like it, but who knows for sure?

After two seasons of injury-plagued poor play is this the real Sexsmith? It could be, but who knows for sure?

Sateri (and I'm biased here because I have a Sateri jersey ) looks like he's adapting well to the North American game but the real question is will he keep improving into an NHL calibre goaltender. He looks like he might, but who knows for sure?

Acolatse just had surgery this past Thursday... he might be out upward of a month. No idea about MacIntyre or Gogol though.

Stalock was unreal tonight... like he never missed a beat. Getting goals from some unexpected sources lately.

You've been watching way too many Doug Wilson interviews lately...answering questions w/o actually ever answering the questions, nicely done!!

From chatting with scouts / goalie people and from what I've seen of all 3 of them (I obvsiously haven't watched them as much as 210) I would say, as far as upside, it's Sateri, Stalock, Sexsmith - but I think Stalock is the 1st to play a regular role in the NHL.

2 questions:

1)COULD they all be at least NHL backups?

2)If you were forced to bet a paycheck, all biases aside, who would you wager would be a starter in the NHL one day?

Thanks

1) I wouldn't hesitate to use any one of them to be a back-up right now if I needed them, but I'd prefer to not have any of them if I had a better option.

2) I'll take Stalock...it all comes down to his recovery so he's the best bet.

re: Goalies.

All 3 got a chance of making it. Who's close to NHL backup (right now)? I'd say it's a tie between Sexsmith and Stalock.

It's a special dynamic going on.

As prospects, I believe initially Sexsmith was ranked higher than Stalock. But Stalock came in prepared mentally and physiclaly, and I don't think Sexsmith did. Then Stalock got hurt, and Sexsmith came in this year, lighter, in shape, and focused. He's be tearing it up this year. Now Stalock is back on track and so far hasn't missed a beat - even though still not 100%. Even long term upside - migth even be close to a tie, but since I've still got memories of Stalock's game in Worcester I'd take Stalock. I think he's still the fav in taking of #1 SJ goal duties some day. Right now Sexsmith's value has never been higher. If any of the 3 goalies were to be traded, I'd say it would be Sexsmith.
I haven't mentione Sateri because Sexsmith and Stalock are ahead of him as far is pro/U.S. games, hence a little behind on development. But he's transitioned very well from the European style/rink. It's a reall good "problem" to have.
Someday, I can see Stalock starting for a NHL contender, Sexsmith for a not as good NHL team, and jury still out on Sateri.

Funny question: Do you guys think Worcester has the best goaltending (as a group) in the AHL?

To be honest I don't follow much outside of our division, but I think Oklahoma City has the best goaltending. We're probably 2nd overall. Same with in overall defense too. Having superior defense made possible the trade of Sullivan for Kennedy. Plus we got some very good backcheckers in Viedensky and Reid.

As prospects, probably.

There are former NHLers playing out contracts/careers who some might rank higher.

EDM/OKC also has a great goalie in Stockton...

How's Viedensky adjusting? He seems to have picked up a few goals and assists.

Does A. Murray look like an NHLer or an AHLer out there? Or a tweener?

He looks like a tweener, which is really what he is.

Sommer has him on the top line, which I think is a mistake...he really should be on the third line and I think he'd really shine on that line here.
