Anaheim and Colorado

Bobby Ryan for Gabriel Landeskog and Erik Johnson

I know Colorado really values Gabriel, but would this be fair value or would the Ducks have to add? I'm sure we could add a draft pick or Kyle Palmeri in the deal.

There's no way I do this if I'm Colorado. Landeskog could very well blossom into what Ryan is now in a matter of 1-2 years, maybe even surpass him. I wouldn't give up Johnson to "fast forward" the process.

They aren't moving EJ. They needed a big top pairing defenseman badly when they traded for him. That need was bigger than their current need for wingers. He's probably their most untouchable player after ROR and Duchene.

Heck no from the Avs.

Landeskog is unbelievable for being a rookie and EJ seems finally to get it and tap into his potential. There is no way we trade our only capable future winger and our # 1 dman in the same trade for Bobby Ryan.

For me to listen you have to add a lot. Ryan and Fowler for EJ and Landeskog maybe. But I am not sure I would like that (really like EJ right now)

And I am sure you wont like giving up Fowler. The only viable trade between the Avs and Ducks would be on a Stastny for Ryan basis.
But you have explained why that does not make sense for Anaheim. Therefore. No deal.

This trade doesn't make any sense for the Avs, sure perfect sense for the Ducks and why wouldn't it, they would be getting the better end of that deal.

Avs just got Johnson, they were desperately looking for that "franchise type" defenseman and got it in Johnson who has looked good for them so far. And Landeskog? lol, I would guess he's one of the untouchables there right now, he's young, doing fairly well in his rookie year and he is going to get even better (as a well rounded player).

I don't think Colorado has any reason to make a deal like this.

Wouldn't trade either of them for Bobby Ryan.

Ok if you drop Johnson what would it take to get Gabriel?

You're going to get so much flack from Avs fans.

tbh, I wouldn't do Landeskog for Ryan straight up. Landeskog brings it every night, half the games this year he's been our best player, and he's only 19. Him or RoR are captain material, theres no replacing what he brings. Then you add EJ on top whos been playing like a #1 D for the past 3 months... not a chance.

I wouldn't do anything less then Perry + Fowler for EJ + Landeskog. Ya Ducks overpay, but thats what it would take for me to consider.

I honestly don't think we have a reason to make a deal like this, not that there's anything wrong with the return. Fowler has all the tools to be a #1. I have no idea why we need to land someone that's there already because we can't wait as little as a season for him to get there.

Avs aren't trading Landeskog. He's been everything they could have asked for and more, on and off the ice.

I don't disagree. If Anaheim is going to make a push for a strong blue line addition, I think they'd want someone more established. Otherwise, well, what's the point? They have a nice crop of young blue liners, and adding another one(even if he's further along) seems more like a lateral move.

I get the feeling Landeskog is the real focus in this deal.

Perry and Fowler are way better than Gabriel and EJ....

I wish we had gotten the opportunity to get Gabriel he would have been a perfect with the Twins

I stated Ducks would have to overpay and it wouldn't happen. EJ + Landeskog are 2 core pieces moving forward, theres no way you'd be getting them.

You'd be better off leaving it at "It's not happening." Throwing out Fowler + Ryan is just a terrible counter.

Personally I wouldn't do it for anything less. You don't understand how much value Landeskog has to us.

I wouldn't do Ryan for Lando straight up either.

3 time, soon to possibly 4 time 30 goal scorers dont come everyday

I think by saying 'it's not happening' that it's understood how much value he has for you.

Teams don't really trade blue chip prospects they are happy with. When one is traded it's because there is some conflict (Jack Johnson, Erixon) or because it is the price the team has to pay in a bigger deal (Shattenkirk, Schenn).

I wouldn't expect Anaheim to entertain the idea of trading Fowler. Same goes for Landeskog, O'Reilly and Duchene for Avs.

Okay, I think we're done here. This isn't going to go anywhere, and neither team is going to be looking to do this.
