Steve Babineau Bruins Photographer

I was at a Bar last night in Fort Myers and the gentleman sitting to the left of my lady friend and I had a huge championship ring on. It ended up being Steve Babineau the photographer for the Boston Bruins.

Here is the shot of the ring I got after we begun to talk a little bit about hockey.

Very nice guy and spoke about all the great years of players since he has been shooting since 1972, Orr, Neely, Bourque, Middleton just to name a few.

I just wanted to share this with you guys. Class act and spoke very highly of Boston fans in general.

He seems like a great guy.

I just got his book for Christmas (Black and Gold.. Four decades of the B's) that he and Rob Simpson put out and will have him sign it when he gets home from his Florida vacation.

Steve (Babs) is in a Neil Young cover band sometimes and knows Neil. He has taken photos at the Bridge concerts that Neil sponsers.

All of his kids work with the B's as well. Keith has been working behind the benches since he was a teenager (he let me try on his Stanley Cup ring ) and Brian is taking photos at the games.

Nice family.

Was it heavy as far as rings so? They look pretty bulky.

yes. IMHO it is kind of ugly . It took up my whole finger.

Blades (the bear) has the biggest ring.

Keith Babineau usually works behind the visitiing player's bench. He wears his ring and was sure all of the Nuckleheads saw it when they played in Boston

Awesome.

I think it's kind of ugly as well.

The most beautiful 'ugly' ring in the world.

I've got the book "Black and Gold" as well. I enjoyed the great pictures he has taken over the years.

It's got some great photos. Steve has been taking photos of the B's for a long time.
He takes some games off this time of year but his son Brian is at the Garden taking the pictures. Brian went to Prague last season with the team

I know Steve, Brian and Keith were at Game 7 in Vancouver with the B's.

They seem like a nice family.

Steve updated the book with the Winter Classic and Playoffs. GahdenRinkRat got it for me for Christmas.
