Funky Bounces?

Is it just me, or have their been a LOT more funky bounces than usual at MSG over the past few weeks? Just seems like strange caroms and really weird noises on high dump ins. Never seemed to noticeable as it has been of late.

just wondering if im the only one whose noticed this.

Easy answer, there's been a ton of Knicks' games lately at the Garden. Lots of taking down and rebuilding the rink. There was a 1pm Knicks game today that ended around 3:30 or 4, they had to build the boards and the rink in a few short hours. I knew the ice was going to be crappy tonight, the puck was bouncing everywhere the first two periods. Crazy bounces all night off the stanchions too.

I think it's just more noticable because of the goal at the Rock. Now everyone's looking for the bad bounces and caroms. I mean MSG's always had problems like this most notably the spot in the corner along the ice and boards where the visiting team comes out where the puck seems to hit it and come out.

Marked difference during the NBA lockout and post lockout. Once the Knicks came back I noticed it.

with the Knicks, and the dog show completely melting the ice it has been worse recently.

They did get some love on fox 5 this morning. The sports guy was gushing about how well the rangers have been playing. That followed a knicks update. I had to do a double take to make sure i was seeing what i was seeing.

Im surprised more puck dont fly through the camera holes in the corners. They seem to never be closed.
