Only stupid players always go in the corner first cause its a good way to get injured and neutralized. You see Bulis pull of because with his speed he's always goign to get there first. You dont see the other pull off so much...cause...well....they dont get in the corner first half as often as Bulis does.
I think it's unfair to Bulis...I guess he should just not skate so fast...and then ppl wouldnt complain about him pulling out.
You are completely right. I have seen many times during this season when Bulis went to the corners first where he easily hit and neutralized by the opponent. He was not winning many battles while sacrificing his body. Now he has changed the strategy, but still his work along the boards is not very efficient. I think he needs some good coaching on how to position himself in the corners. He has great potential but does not know how to use it effectively. If Bob and Carbo do some polishing on his game, Bulis will be one of the best forechekers in the game. And then Stefan will be very happy for Jan
I think Bulis is afraid of his own shadow..I never seen anybody get so nervous when he has to shoot the puck (maybe Bonk)..if it's not an open net you can forget about him scoring. Players like him are not winners because they are afraid of the big moment..much like Bonk, when the going gets tough you can count on him quitting and being afraid. Don't get fooled but the las 5 games where he looked like Forsberg out there...soon he will go back into hibernation like he did much of the first half of the season..something like 4 goals in 30 games comes to mind.
