D-men doing fade-away point shots, wonderful.

With every win/loss being crucial lets throw in the goalie with a greater then 3 GGA and a sub .900 SV%. Brilliant. K. Good talk!

The whole season is bloodletting for the youngsters. They can learn from this and build on it. Mojo and Carlson are going to be stars and if they are traded for mediocre players, they will come back as Cap killers.

Phantom elbow call. No crosschecking call on clear offside.

New to hockey? It's ok, coaches pull a goalie when a team is stinking it up to wake the team up.

The Boys need to hold on for the rest of the 1st and adjust their jocks during intermission.

I can. That second one was right in front of him. A poke check could have remedied that one. Vokoun isn't capable of taking this team on his back and making it TO the playoffs, let alone through them, and I don;t care what his GAA or save percentage is. Bottom line is wins, and we're not getting them, and it's not just Vokoun's fault, but he sure isn't giving anyone any confidence back there, either. I say we trade him, Brouwer and Mojo (even though I like both the forwards), or maybe some draft picks for Schneider in Vancouver, or maybe Bernier if we can get him. I know next to nothing about the intricacies of trading, as my ex-son always was quick to point out and make me look like an idiot, but in a perfect world this would make a nice trade, in my OPINION. emphasis on opinion. depth in goal would help our confidence all across the board. And am I the only one not all that impressed with Hamrlik?

Hope we pull this one out. Otherwise, go Jets!

Enough of the ref excuses every night. Caps are getting outshot 12-2 by a bottom feeder.

This team just simply isn't good enough.

This version of the Caps team shows up far too often. Time to punt the season and start some major changes. Even if they squeak into the playoffs they aren't winning anything.

How can you not get up for this game? The players. All of them, need to be fired. I want an entire new team

If you can't get modivted and play hard for this game, then you need to go home and quit hockey

I'm an Ovie fan/apologist, but just out of curiosity, is there a team anywhere that would trade for him, or does the size of the contract and his marked decline in production make him effectively untradeable?

Carolina always, almost alway plays really well against us. I don't know if it is their speed or? You know you will get a good game. Plus they have a new coach too who wants to prove something.

And what happened to those crisp, fast passes we used to have? was that ALL Backstrom? Part if the defense problem is getting used tohaving Green back, but the Carlzner line should have no excuses, as long as they've played together.

Semin fakes the slapper, then wrists it right to Peters' breadbasket? let go the slapper, man, and look for rebounds, or get that wrister a lot higher.
