Rangers - Red Wings

Jakub Kindl

Tim Erixon

Detroit could use a defensive defenseman as they have Brendan Smith coming in next year and are almost assured to lose Brad Stuart in the offseason to a California team. So would Kindl get it done? He has played well for Detroit this year in his rookie season. Another alternative would be Tatar+Pulkkinen as Detroit has a plethora of forward prospects

Definitely not!

Perhaps if Helm or Filppula are coming the other way, then Erixon could be moved.

Rangers won't move Erixon in a deal like this.

Erixon isn't a defensive defenseman, and no, I want to see what this guy can do as an NHLer before even thinking of trading him.

This guy was Calgary's top prospect...

I don't know why the Rangers would do this.

Why would Rangers trade Erixon? They were high on him and found a way to fetch him.

Detroit wants no part of it. Too busy sizing up which of Weber/Suter to sign as an FA in the offseason.

Is that supposed to help your argument? It doesn't.

Erixon won't even compare to Kindl in a few years.

Lmao Sauce and Pully for Erixon.

Sauce will be a 20 goal 50 point getter without any shadow of a doubt, and Pully has a good chance of becoming a harder working Hudler with a better shot

People need to chill on Kindl. Took the Wall long to develop and so will Kindl. But he'll end up being a #3-4 defenseman

I don't believe that erixon is more of a pm then defensive dman, and I'd rather see what kindl can do in an expanded role before we deal him . Your point? Kindl was the wings top prospect...

All us Detroit fans (if you are one) need to stop with the Weber/Suter pipe dream...

I wouldn't mind this deal, can't say that I've seen Erixon play much besides the prospect tournament at the beginning of the year. As much as Kindl has improved he also hasn't been great either...

He'll be far better.
