Ya know...don't make me hit that little triangle with the exclamation point in it!
Haha..took me a few seconds to figure out what you meant!

Immensely so!! Nothing like a bunch of sore anuses!
Anyway, just having some fun with you guys. Truth is I really don't think that way about Marty at all. I happen to have great respect for him, and give him a lot of credit, unlike most Rangers fans. Unfortunately, I know some of you do think that way about Lundqvist. It's unfortunate, but we have many fans who don't respect Marty, so I guess it goes with the territory!
At most levels of hockey, it's pretty bush league unless you've just scored a highlight reel goal or a huge goal in a huge game. When I was younger there was a Jr. team from NY who, every time they scored, would have all 5 skaters do the glove tap. Didn't matter if it was the sickest goal in the world or a bobbled floater, they did it every ****ing time. It was garbage and everyone knew it, including their own team.
But why?
It's the same thing as shaking somebody's hand for a congratulations.
Doesn't hank also use a extra stiff glove that he can't even close all the way so it stays open at all times taking up more of the net ?
I thought I remember homer Joe talking about that a few times.
The guy is such a fraud.
His glove hand has gotten a lot better in recent years, it used to be a liability, but it isn't anymore. Like most Allaire-trained goalies, he uses his glove for blocking more than catching, but that's the style and he's hardly the only one.
Ugh, I can't believe you guys are making me defend Lundqvist. You need to stop it with this foolishness.
Maybe fraud isn't the right word obviously in this age of hockey he's at the top of the list. I guess just to me, this whole generation of goalies is a few steps below talent wise than what we grew up watching. There is so much more to help the goalies now it's ridiculous.

I agree with you there. Elite now means a lot less than elite ten years ago.
True, this crop of goalies doesn't appear to have three generational talents like Roy, Hasek, and Brodeur, but I think it probably does have a few future Hall of Famers who haven't quite reached the height of their powers yet.
I don't just feel that way about Lundqvist but when he is the goaltender of your biggest rival, he's going to get it the most. Growing up watching goalies with small pads like Richter have to use their whole body to make saves and having the skill and athleticism to do so makes me resent a goalie like Lundqvist and Gigure who use way more padding then is necessary. The NHL should change it's rules. I can't blame them for abiding by those rules but I can still criticize it.
sorry to be bumping all these, im just catching up…but can I just say how much I love the 6:00 start time? I know logistically it would be a nightmare, but I would LOVE to see more of these.

and I think everyone's caught up now. New game to discuss.
