Better now than in the playoffs though.

Disappointing not to be able to see Dats tonight. My favorite non-hawk player.

Toews is out too, so we're even. GL

I like Toews a lot...but Datsyuk is like three Toews.

Ouch, he's injured with the next home game being against Vancouver of all teams. It will be interesting to see how the Wings respond and if they can get the streak to 24.

Ya losing Toews is definitely the same as losing the best player in the world.

Gonna make it that much sweeter if we beat them anyways.

And if we lose, I wont hesitate to bring it up.

Every time I see Toews, I think toes, and then that losing Datsyuk would be like losing three toes. It would really screw up my balance.

If Holland would've traded Zee and Fil and Franzen plus every draft pick we have owned for Stamkos this wouldn't be an issue.

Noticing a trend?

Chicago was in first place when the injury bug bit them.
Hopefully, this doesn't catch on in Detroit

Well obviously they are willing to take a risk, because this was a thing you can play through and be not quiet 100% but you can play. Being 100% for the playoffs is luxury imo, how can anyone be 100% after a 82 game schedule.

Okay, NOW I might start to sweat a little. Datsyuk has, more often than not, been the best player on the ice not named "James Tiberius Howard" at any given point... wonder who they're going to give the call-up to?

Edit -- Looks like Cleary is back tonight: http://www.mlive.com/redwings/index...._to_mis_1.html

Does anyone know what this is? Two weeks doesn't seem very long for knee surgery.

Also, I may just be pessimistic, but this is going to suck really, really bad. Datsyuk is our offensive catalyst. Not only does he put up big points but he pulls all the toughest defenders too him all game.

So does Flip move back to center or does Gator center Franzen and Bert?

He had arthroscopic surgery, it usually takes a couple weeks to heal without any complications.
