He has probably deserved it for the past few weeks. He has been playing great.

Thanks BB, and about time he gets some recognition. He's really stood on his head for us these past few weeks. Congratulations to him.

He is main reason we are winning. Soon Deslauriers have to play and then we see just how good we are.

This is what i`m scared off.

How is Ellis doing? He`d probably be better opinion than JDD, but i`m sure they both`ll get a chance.

Even though our D have improved this year and goalies ar facing easier shots imo, goalies still have to make some of those crucial saves, and there our backups probably will struggle.

I keep seeing people say "Defense has improved" while Lydman and Visnovsky are playing like ****. Is it the other Dmen and the forwards helping downlow?

Vis was never really good defensively. He isn't worse than last year. Sbisa is the new Lydman, he makes up for his struggles. Fowler and Brooks have also improved defensely. I'd say this is the best performance I've seen out of this D since Nieds retired.
I mean Brookbank gets a lot of hate here, but for a #6, he's very solid too, IMO

plus we are playing little tighter in our zone under BB.

Lydman has been playing a lot better the past month, he and Brookbank are a very solid third pairing. Visnovsky is getting much more sheltered minutes this year, while last year he and Lydman were on the top pairing playing with the RPG line, this year he is mainly playing with the Selanne line against other teams second and third lines, him and Sbisa seem to complement each other well.

While the defense has definitely improved, it also looks a lot better because Hiller is actually making routine saves unlike earlier in the year, he's not exposing the the defense anywhere near as much. Now we need our forwards to start producing the way they should, Selanne has been the only guy in the top 6 playing up to expectations so far this year. Koivu was great but has slowed down a lot recently. Even with the recent improved play from Getzlaf and Perry, they're still not producing anywhere enough for the caliber of player they are.
