OMFG.

Please be a good return. Somehow someway Erik Johnson?

Nothing else jumps out at me from Colorado defense or goaltender wise.

Yikes.... this could be a huge mistake.

This is out of left field, I'm not liking this. Hopefully a good return is coming back.

I'm shocked. I'll withhold my joy/fury until I know what he was traded for.

Spoke to Steve Downie's agent last week, who suggested contract talks would most likely start after the deadline. This is a surprise, imo.

This is more shocking since Yzerman said he'd let them stay pat if the run continued. You'd think he'd wait until atleast after the game tonight.

On the Avs board they're speculating it could be Kyle Quincey.

I think if Yzerman did this is because something really good must have been offered

Thats my worry as well. If it is, Ill be throwing up a lot in my mouth.

Needs to be a top d prospect like Seimens, or an already established top 4 dman, which really only one jumps out is Johnson who they wouldnt trade for Downie.

Im really worried about this one. Downie is such a huge part of everything.

Quincey was the first player that popped in my mind when I saw that Downie was gone to the Avs.

Going by average ice time he's their top defenseman.
