We’ve been shut out twice in back-to-back 1-0 games at home against teams that are two points behind us in both cases. I don’t want to say we didn’t work hard. We did, but we’ve got to find ways to score goals.
(on the frustration level…) It’s definitely frustrating. I think it’s been frustrating all year for the players in here, the lack of scoring. Tonight, we had some really good chances. … That save on (Dustin) Penner in the first was a world-class save, so it’s frustrating. … We’ve got to be more hungry, I guess. We had chances in front of the net tonight, and it’s just frustrating.
(on falling to ninth place in the conference…) We’ve been in this situation the last two years. It’s no different. The last couple years, we’ve been battling for a playoff spot. As frustrating as these last two games have been, offensively, we’ve got to refocus. We play Phoenix on Tuesday. We can’t sit here and talk about what-ifs. We’ve got games to play in upcoming days."

Obviously, in the last 23 games here, we all have to do better, in creating opportunities and goals, assists, points, whatever. It’s obviously not a great year, but I’m just trying to do things to help the team win, and play my role and just try to play it consistently.
I like center. It’s my natural position, and where I feel more comfortable, anyway. I’ve never played much wing, in a long, long time. Some games were a struggle out there on the wing, but you’ve just got to communicate with your linemates, talk with them and make sure you’re on the same page. But yeah, center is where I like to be."

You’ll got to be really careful that some of these guys don’t get out of sync with what their strengths are. It’s frustrating. Tonight, you get an off-the-net bad break. You’ve got to really break it down. You’ve got to emphasize that areas like the power play have to keep it simple and get shots and traffic. Same with some of our workers. They can’t get away and try and get away from their game, because that’s when you get in trouble.’’
(on getting top players such as Kopitar going…) When you break it down, it’s not a team thing. We’ve stuck with Kopi, Brownie and Willy. The Richards line has been our best since we called those kids up, clearly. We’ve stuck with the Kopi, Brownie and Willy line. It’s just not, right now, getting a lot. That’s what they do, is create and score. I’m not sure, as a line, that they’re getting a lot of opportunities.’’
(on whether he will look at make line-combination changes…) We have to try to give them different looks, and help them as individuals. So we’ve got to look at it. We’ve been in a position where it’s been hard to break them up, because how do you? Stolly has been out, and Dustin (Penner) has been so up and down in it. We moved Brown to left wing, 10 days ago, to see if that would get him going, but the last goal he scored was actually against Calgary. We’ve got our work cut out.’’
(on talking to management about trade possibilities…) First off, I wouldn’t do that, and secondly, that wouldn’t be something to talk about in the media.’’
(on the Kings’ “inconsistent’’ offense…) I think that we really have to bear down on the opportunities that we get. You don’t get a lot of opportunities. That’s not anything that’s inconsistent. I think that’s consistent. We don’t get a lot of chances, so you’ve got to bear downs on the ones you get.’’
(on getting a lot of shots blocked…) We outshot them 2-to-1. That’s what you’ve got to try to do, right?’’
(on being worried about Quick’s mental state…) I’m not. We’re trying to be a playoff team, and your concern is not the mental part for him at all. He’s probably the strongest guy we have. My concern would be, we’re in a position where he’s our best player. He’s probably, arguably, one of the top three or four in the league. I might think he’s the best. My concern would be just the physical part with him. It’s tough to gauge that, and it’s tough to get away from not playing him."

LET'S GO KINGS !!!

- UPCOMING SCHEDULE -

NOTE : Regarding LARGE SIZE IMAGES / YELLOW RE-SIZE IMAGE BARS ABOVE PICS, let me offer up one nice little suggestion ...
This will get rid of those pesky yellow resize bars over the top of some larger pictures ... as they annoy the hell out of me and maybe they do you also ?
- Go into/click on your "USER CP" {control Panel} up top left in the red bars
- on the left under 'Settings & Options' click on "Edit Options"
- scroll down to 'Thread Display Options', and then 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- click on the 'Drop Down List Box' over on the Right of 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- select it to "KEEP ORIGINAL SIZE"
- SAVE your selections !
There ... now don't that look MUCH BETTER

JMFJ with the GW? Would be a nice send-off if he does indeed get moved. I HATE the Yotes though, such a must win game. We could still win this division, let's get it done!

I feel good about this one. It's weird. I'm also coffeeblasted.

Feel free to come at me if we lose, bro.

After the cheapshots last game, back to back shuouts, the entire hockey world talking about their offensive ineptitude and how there will be trades and/or fired GM, Kopi and Brown being called out, and the importance in the standings .... if they can't get up for this game and play with fire in the belly, they need to be euthanized.

Top players called out by the coach, two straight shutouts at home against teams directly in the race with them, just an overall lack of...it's more than goals...a belief. A game to find out what this bunch is made of.
