David Jones to Ottawa

I think he'd be a good fit with the Sens.

What would Ottawa give up?

I don't think i'd give up enough for colorado to say yes.

Bobby butler and a third round pick. If you want, i'd throw in any of winchester, konopka, carkner, or daugavins if you needed a warm body.

I'm just taking a wild guess as i'm not to sure what colorado's most pressing needs are in terms of prospects. I know colorado wants youth...so butler and a third provide that. Maybe change the third to a second.

Once again, colorado probably says no to that.

Nothing. Do not want. The Sens aren't after UFAs. Jones is also not a huge upgrade over what we have so there's no point.

No way man. Butler is hitting his groove and playing well. Jones is a UFA, Butler obviously is not and is much cheaper, and imo could be just as good.

To be fair, i wouldn't trade for him either, but this is a "value of" thread...so what is the most you would give up for him? I'm sure you'd trade daugavins for him...probably daugavins and a 5? anyways...i think the OP is looking for what is the most you'd give up for him. Surely you would give up someone like konopka or carkner for him...

Would be interested in Galiardi, he seems to be having an off year.

I think Ottawa is looking for a cheap (to acquire) player that can slide all over the lineup. I could understand why Colorado wouldn't move him for a low price, but I think the Sens would end up going in a different direction if that's the case.

I think if Colorado would agree to some combination of Peter Regin, OTT 3rd, NAS 3rd, Later draft picks and/or mid prospects that there could be a fit, but somehow I doubt that's enough.
