Best book on hockey leadership or leaders

As a rangers fan the obvious choice is Messier, but the amazon reviews on his books were not the greatest.

This is for a Masters level course, have to write a paper so the book cannot be too short or easy.

TIA

You could try something like Canadiens Captains by Michael Ulmer, there's one on Toronto captains as well. It covers 9 different captains covering over 50 years. It's a little over 200 pages.

Jean Beliveau's autobiography had some interesting points on leadership and what it means to be a captain.

Haven't looked at (= can't afford it), but http://www.nhlgms.com/ sounds pretty cool...
