Top players called out by the coach, two straight shutouts at home against teams directly in the race with them, just an overall lack of...it's more than goals...a belief. A game to find out what this bunch is made of.
Personally I feel it's a game too late for that - that should have been last game. Unfortunately I think I know exactly what this team is made of now, and it ain't good.
I expect them to come out WAY overly aggressive, get the crap penalized out of them, and give up the game on special teams ineptitude.
We've had pretty solid starts in almost every game for a good stretch now without much first period production. If we can pot a goal early I think that would go a long way towards turning things around.

I know, I'm all sunshine and roses, right?
Probably more like a month too late for it. It should have been a lot of games. Have to start somewhere though. The coach wasn't calling them out before. Now it's...do something.
10-15 more goals as of right now. If the Kings had that, they'd be in a much better position. No need to lead the league in goals. 10-15 more goals in 60 games. There is nothing the Kings could possibly be doing in any systemic way that would not allow them to score 10-15 more goals at this point. The Kings have gotten enough chances through 60 games to have scored another 10-15 goals.
I don't know what to say. I went to the Calgary game with high hopes and even joked with friends that we should just be rooting for one goal, and that the only time we'd hear the goal horn was before each period. It's sad that that was the truth. I don't care what it takes, just get the two points. I don't think we can handle another loss at this point.
After the cheapshots last game, back to back shuouts, the entire hockey world talking about their offensive ineptitude and how there will be trades and/or fired GM, Kopi and Brown being called out, and the importance in the standings .... if they can't get up for this game and play with fire in the belly, they need to be euthanized.
Agree with this. The one ray of hope I have is, it was win in a game versus Phoenix (like this one, at their place, and in circumstances somewhat similar to this one) that basically saved their playoff hopes last season...
I am sitting in front of my computer in a town called Silverthorne in the Co rockies tonight and am going to be clapping to annoyance and cheering for our Kings like the fool that I am. I feel it tonight. Lets go get em boys. Now is the time and we have the horses.
Wish Carter scored his hat trick for us tonight =/ Oh well, Let's get the job done! GO KINGS!
