I'm not really sure what Burrows was thinking there. Be a pest if you are good at it, but you may want to avoid crossing the line with guys who can destroy him in a fight...

The SK bipod isn't as effective as the old Espo tripod.

I hope he isn't losing a roster spot...

But he is a healthy scratch then?

Burrows is not going to get any hint of love around here. He essentially ruined Dumont with a pretty dirty hit. I called him a ***** because it looked like he was aching to start something, but then when it happened he just sort of pulled Weber down to the ice with him.

I think he wants to get Weber off the ice for 5 , so ice can open up for the Twins?

Burrows hit Weber along the boards in front of the Preds bench. It looked like he was trying to shove him over, but it didn't happen (for obvious reasons). Weber turned around and, with one arm, threw Burrows to the ice. Burrows throws a light slash to Weber's leg. They skate into the Preds neutral zone. Burrows crosschecks Weber. Weber gets pissed. They lock up with the gloves off. Weber was trying to get the helmet off of Burrows when Burrows essentially pulled him to the ice.

Two minutes for roughing aside

Burrows was guilty of cross check, boarding, and hitting from behind. He just made a tactical error and is going to get leveled when he comes out of the box.

They each got 2 for roughing unless I heard wrong. No punches were thrown, but both did drop the gloves.

I would be ok with the trade had Weber landed some blows, but he didn't so I'd rather have Weber back out there

It was 5 on 5 still after the 'fight'. I think they got 5 each, no?

Yes ... he's healthy. Ellis still depends on offensive zone starts and limited minutes against lower line talent to be successful.

No. 2 each as announced in house and on the Preds TV feed.

For once, you and I agree. Send Tootoo out as a scud missile against Burrows after that ***** gets out of the box. Don't be cheap about it, but really level him.

About 5 posts on Nucks forum about how Weber took it easy on Burrows because they'll be teammates soon. Just Ridiculous.

dont know how relevant this is but colorado and detroit traded with eachother, along with TB. But still bitter rivals traded with each other involiving some decent acquisitions. (Downie and Quincey). I think people overplay the rival thing sometimes and teams will take best deal available 99% of the time (colorado got a 1st and mid prospect for Quincey). which is why if we offer columbus the best offer for Carter/Nash and they WANT to deal either then theyll take the best deal offered.

He's playing with a ton of confidence right now. Never thought when we got him last year he was capable of some of the moves I've seen from him the last little while. He is no dangler but when he is confident he has more skill than I initially gave him credit for.

The Vancouver goal was unfortunate. As Crispy said it was just a comedy of errors.

Yes we all agree Burrows is easy to hate but he's doing his job there trying to get Weber off the ice for 5 minutes. Yes I get excited and love seeing him ragdolling Burrows but it isn't worth it.

Overall this is as good as I've seen the Preds play in awhile. They are working their ***** off. Hopefully they can pull off the W because right now they deserve it. I don't know about the Smithson-Yip-Hali line though. Also this is one of those games where Klein is scaring me every time he touches the puck.

Tampa got the 1st and prospect for Quincey after shipping Downie to Colorado.

Colorado traded with Tampa ... Tampa traded with Detroit.
