Both LeBrun and Bob McKenzie are saying that Avs could make some more moves before the deadline.

Nice article on Pekka Rinne: http://espn.go.com/nhl/story/_/id/75...h-expectations

That contract is extreme for a goalie but IMO Rinne is the most complete in the league.

Kubina and Downie out. Expect the Bolts to fall in the standings...

He was playing forward at the moment of the goal. But I do love seeing Phaneuf screw up. So much talent, but doesn't have the head to be a complete player.

I think Joe Bowen has climaxed a couple of times on the broadcast during Leafs scoring chances.

Hopefully The Jets win, they have to pass the Leafs.

Sabres won tonight so it's positive for Tank Nation. Same with Tampa winning.

LoL Poor Leafs, they worked like crazy horses all night, they should have won this game easily with only decent goaltending in net.. Did you see the softie "the monster" let in ot? The shot was not even on the net LOL.. Leafs have one of the best d core in the league IMO but average line-up up front and atrocious goaltending is possibly going to cost them a spot in the playoffs..

Wha? One of the best d-cores in the league?

Their defense is only barely better than their goaltending. The fact taht they score a lot is the only reason the have a shot at the playoffs.

Wanna laugh? their offense is coming from behind mostly, their transition is amazing... They would be in playoffs already with Price in the net.. Their goaltending situation is pathetic..

The problem is....all our goaltending depth is average at best. A better word would be mediocre. We need a tender to compete. Thats it. Everyone in Leafs nation want a top 3 player, but what we really need is someone who can keep pucks out. It aint Gus and Reims is going through a sophomore slump.

I said it before the season, they should have gotten a quality #2 to go with Reimer like Garon instead of Gustavsson who is jeckyll and hyde.

I was saying this since last season. The leafs have an excellent transition and a very mobile D. Unfortunatly their offense is terrible and their goaltending fluxuates between amazing and unreal bad. The habs on the other hand have had a very decent forward depth and a defense that can't move the puck to save its life. I can see our defense getting better now that we have kicked Gill to the curb and with the addition of a offensively minded style/coach we should be right on track.

Leafs D is excellent at supporting the offense...but terrible at defending. I like having a mobile defense but that's definitely not a team I would want to be inspired by.

With Price in net we could do with some more offense, leafs don't have that luxury. I would take my chances in a high scoring game than the bland boring 1-0 sleepers we have enjoyed for the last couple years. You also can't develop offensive stars in a defensivly minded system so don't expect to ever see a top line forward if we don't properly develop them.
