Alright, I don't know what games some of you guys have been watching in the past, but Avery has completely lost his agitator ability. I haven't seen that guy work magic in a long time.

Mitchell played 13 minutes, Boyle 15. They've been creating chances. And Boyle has been a physical beast and great defensively for a long stretch now.

Avery definitely has offensive creativity. He's proven that in the playoffs countless times. He also proved it this year, but as Brooks wisely put it, Avery was anathema to Tortorella.

That's a big part of why Tortorella rushed Hagelin. Tortorella wanted a reason to push Avery back down after his good start. But Mitchell keeps proving that he sent the wrong guy down.

If this team is ready to play Wolski again, then I think they should instead look at Zuccarello. Wolski has had so many looks, and Zuccarello deserves another one.

What really bugs me is all of this talk about not being able to call up Zukes because he can only be top-6, and since that is impossible there is no point in calling him up.
Talk about ********. Where is it written that you cannot use a player where you need him? Show me where it is okay to use the truly useless Wolski yet again, which will result in recognizing once again that he is not going to do squat, and yet not be able to at least try someone who deserves a chance.

All this "top-6" talk is crap anyways. Put somebody out there and see where they fit. Wolski has been top 12 so far. Keep him away from the Rangers and bring up Zukes.

Any talk of Avery is nonsense. He will never play for the Rangers again.

Avery would have made a huge difference in this game. He probably would have took one wrap around shot then taken an unnecessary penalty and we lose 3-0 instead.

Still an improvement over Mitchell.

Oh come on. Mitchel was real bad tonight, but replacing him with Avery does little if anything at all to win that game.

I believe Avery would be a plus to this team, and not a minus. I know that he will never play again for the Rangers, knew that a while ago.

I have moved on, but that does not mean that I think he would not improve the team.
We need to stop talking about Avery coming back, because it simply will not occur. Let's look at trying to find a way to spark some offensive creativity what we have.
It most definitely will have nothing to do with Wolski who belongs on some other team, not the Rangers. Trying him again is just another exercise in futility.

You know, just 2 seasons ago Wojtek Wolski had 65 points...and he's a career + despite playing on Phoenix and Colorado and was +12 in his 30 or so games with us last year...he's a big left winger who can score. He's a sniper/power forward. Isn't that what we need?

LMAO..

This just shows how fickle you fans are.

I was KILLED two weeks ago when I suggested Avery should be back on this team. Egomaniac Torts will never allow it unfortunately.

I do not envy you guys. I thought Ron Wilson was the only coach stupid enough to play Johnny Malkin in those situations, but I guess not. Don't know what coaches see in him. He flat out sucks!

John Mitchell may be the worst non-enforcer forward in the NHL. No way should he be playing on a Rangers team that's as good as the team you guys have.

Thank God someone brought this up!

Didn't he once blind himself in one eye while playing soccer in the locker room with the Leafs?

I'm sorry, but if John Tortorella is banishing players who don't kiss his ass with regularity in favor of scrubs like Mitchell, Bickel, Eminger, and Rupp he should be held accountable. He hasn't won **** in NY yet, and shouldn't be given the benefit of the doubt.

I don't have a problem with Bickel and Rupp as much as Mitchell and Eminger.

Well, I think we know that Avery is not in play, so sure.

You think Zuke will be traded? I cannot believe any GM out there even knows who he is anymore.
I really wish he would be called up. I am....the anti-Wolski....bwahahhahhaa
