WINNIPEG, Manitoba – Three times during the month of February now the Flyers’ penalty kill units have given up triple digits.
It happened again Tuesday night at MTS Centre but the Flyers survived, anyway with a 5-4 overtime victory over the Jets.
It was the Flyers’ only win against Winnipeg in four games this season. Jaromir Jagr got the game-winner after Wayne Simmonds sent it into overtime with just seconds left in regulation.
Even with the pickup of two new defenseman, the Jets still scored times on their power as the Flyers have given up two or more power-play goals in three of their last five games, a trend they need to reverse for the stretch run.
For the month of February, the PK units have yielded 12 goals in 10 games.

I really like having Simmonds and Hartnell in front of the net on the PP. That's a good idea.
Yep on that first power play goal it was awesome to have two big bodies as our net front presence. Also it doesn't hurt that Simmonds doesn't have a bad pair of hands on him for being power forward.
They were freaking amazing tonight (as always) and so much better than those cookie cutter arenas (*ahem* Pittsburgh) where fans only cheer and make noise after a goal.
Thanks for an unreal season series guys... it could have easily been 4-0 for the Flyers. So very entertaining.
I don't apologise for our team's fans normally but that Flyers suck chant was beyond stupid. Think it may have motivated your boys even more
Anyway a whale of a game, good luck the rest of the season!
I hope Winnipeg makes the playoffs. I want to see that city go fing crazy with your team having a chance at Lord's Stanley. The atmosphere would be absolutely electric up there if you guys get in!

Yeah they were amazing but it was awesome watching the Flyers shut them up!
You could tell by the reactions on the bench after the tying and then the winning goals that it meant a lot that they were able to turn this game around.
