bounced back by shutting the door, along his best glove save of the year, fantastic right pad save in OT & 2 points

gotta keep it building

I'm not for all the Bryz hate, but honestly calling that OT save "fantastic", really? Is this how far we've come with the guy that's considered fantastic?

We can only hope.

-1st goal I'm still not sure about. Tough saves, but big time goalies make them
-the Ladd goals could go either way for me. Not 100% his fault and kudo's to Ladd for battling, but he needs to make those saves.
-Kanes...even if it did knuckle or curve, it looked like it was going over the net, and he tipped it in.

He did make some solid saves though. And Brayden Schenn....holy **** what a save.

Bernie's logic

If he makes one or two good saves per night, it doesn't matter how many he lets in.

Bernie's criteria for a good "building block" game : allow 2 or fewer atrocious goals

Like it or not, he has to build off of games like this. He's been in a ****** place and this is all he can do.

Since I know this is going to happen eventually:

Goal 1: Not a good goal to give up, but not terrible. Most likely should have had it, but not going to kill him over it.

Goal 2: Not much Bryz could have done. Not his fault.

Goal 3: Again, not much Bryz could do. Not his fault.

Goal 4: An albatross of a goal. Terrible.

schenn was lucky it didnt end up as goal too, he would be one to bash then.
He should cover those players and let bryz do his job, no to do a 2nd goalie

I really have to choose another user name.

In an odd way, though, the much older BP may a point that the team battling back could be a boost for Bryz. As Holmgren likes to say, "Who the heck knows?" Plus, he's out of the powder keg of Philadelphia.

I get it, but we shouldn't be looking for excuses for the goals he gives up. This has gone too far. He needs to step up, this is pretty redundant. I'm surprised nobody thinks it has anything to do with his weak confidence and his russian nationality. Russian factor anyone ??

Or the ridiculous logic everyone else is reaching; let one or two bad goals in, and it doesn't matter how many he saves, or if we win.

I've seen you hate Bryz repeatedly on every thread. Let me ask you, what should he do if he shouldn't build off of a win where he wasn't god awful? Should he just give up? I'm not a Bryz lover and I think he has sucked tremendously all year, but HE IS OUR GOALIE.

Nah it's pretty true. His team picked him up, you could see them talking to him during the on-ice celebration. If he doesn't build off this, they'll abandon him.

ok, can anyone give brz a break? or does the flyers have to win cup to satisfy them and forget about it? it's ridiculous as much the fans want a cup that's the only reason fans going after bryz, that's not being a fan and supporting the team, it's just hatred.

it takes a team to win a cup, im not faulting bryz on the three goals, the fourth one people are complaining about he was screened by matt read and went over his head, the media wasnt really complaining about that one, it's his first year, why doesnt anyone give him a chance? he's struggling right now, tim thomas struggled his first year with bruins, give him a chance.

he's here for 9 years deal with it because they are not getting more goalies.

You have got to be kidding.

Earth to sobrien, come in sobrien.

He let 4 in, in 22 shots.
The other guy let 5 in, in 55 shots.

The bold portion of your post is an utter disgrace.

It makes all the fricken difference if we win or not.

But only in very rare occasions, can a goaltender let 3 or more goals in and NOT be partially blamed for the loss.

Nobody in their right mind would blame Pavelec for their loss tonight. The guy played amazing. He stood on his head and turned away FIFTY fookin shots.

Bryz turned away EIGHTEEN. EIGHTEEN. Really?

I watched the Jets' feed and they most certainly criticized him for the 1st and 4th goals. The Philly media is a joke, the only one who's really ripped him is Clement a few days ago. Everyone else treats him like he's retarded.

Pinnachio is a ******. He literally acts like he's out to get our players and doesn't want them to succeed. It's not like he gets a raise for being a ******.

You're right, letting in 4 on 22 is not a good game, but it's better than a lot of the pig **** we saw earlier in the season. Small steps, I suppose.

Your right. We should just blindly love the guy no matter how bad he does.

Section 1, Paragraph 1 in the Bryzgalov Excuses Handbook. "Automatically gets a free pass for any goal if it is his first season on a new team".
