Segal may be a 4th line/NHL tweener for you guys
Had no future here in Chicago ,, Looks like a move to clear a contract off Hawks books (And hopefully the start of something else for Hawks)
--- Didn't realize he played for you guys before ---

Depth move for the rest of the season here. Segal can be used as a 4th liner in TB if needed, but will provide some additional grit/leadership for Norfolk as the AHL nears their playoffs. Hes a good filler-in type player. Also with Lecavalier's injury, plus departures of Downie & Moore, we've had to call some AHL players up, so its a chain-reaction type deal.

I was impressed by Segal's two game stint with us in 08-09 and thought he should have been retained, but this deal makes me confoosed.

I think Segal can be a very good 4th liner for a team. Hope he gets a shot with you guys.

He did have 26G, 26A with the Ads back in 08...the Ads could use him. He hasn't been as good this year, but he's on a pretty lousy team.

I like Segal, it's nice to have him back. Fornataro was liked in Norfolk though and has been a solid contributor there. Having said that, I like it for both the Ads and us as well. He has played at the NHL level and didn't really look out of place, and should some players go down to injury he could fill a hole. He'll be welcomed with open arms in Norfolk too, especially when they make playoffs.
