Like Zach Parise?

Still think PG is the man for this job? You seem to be absent from the PGT. Why?

I like the idea of shifting to a more offensive up tempo style myself, but the Leafs take it to far. I know their goaltending sucks but it's easy for mediocre goaltending to look even worse without help. Look at the Flyers for another example of goalies being made to look worse by what is in front of them. You need guys who can protect the net.

Despite all the doom talk I think our D is on the right track, whatever money we have this summer needs to be used to find a stay at home Gill replacement who can actually play a bit of hockey.

Cammalleri fighting hard on the boards and not getting smashed? Better effort or is Corey Potter weak?

So? He's still a perfect counterexample to your assertion that you must have an offensive-minded system to "develop" a player's offensive game, because Jersey sure as hell is not offensive-minded.

Odds are in my favor, defensive systems don't develop offensive players.

Sounds like at least one team is inquiring about him and the Preds need an answer.

Vermette traded to Phx,
good trade for both teams

remember Vermette traded for Leclaire + 2nd

now 2nd + 5th (4th if 1 serie won) + McHelleny

There's a thread on the Leafs board discussing the possibility of them offer sheeting Price... 4 firsts for Price, worth it?!?!

Man if they do that i would cry of joy but i don't see why they would do it no one is offer sheeting Subban or Price if they are they should go ahead and be my guess we will take their future for the next 7 years without looking back twice.

Ah, but you didn't say odds.
Besides, Daniel Alfredsson, Perry, and Ryan all played for defensive oriented coaches. No harm seen.

I remember him saying that, but man, what a hypocrite! Whatever the slight change in approach, the Kessel deal was essentially an offer sheet.

I hope they will do it.

I'd rather have two solid goalies like Elliott and halak than a one-pony show like Price.

I don't know of any cup winners with 2 "solid" goalies. Unless you have a powerhouse(Detroit Pittsburgh Chicago) you need a frontline goalie to win the cup, not 2 average guys.

We are far from the Cup. Let's try to be competitive first and overall.

You guys whould go to Wal mart and buy a clue.

Wether the team is close to a cup or not, having a frontline goalie is part the puzzle, not having 2 average goalies splitting time.
