Wolski hasn't ever scored 65 points in a season, his career high is 50...in 06-07. Career high in goals, too..22.

Good thing I didn't say Avery should be here over Hagelin.

Reread the post.

What?? I'm agreeing with you!

Sean needs to be back in the NHL, and he would be if it weren't for Torts!!

Man, the Avery fan brigade is one of the most absurd things in professional sports.

He is not in the AHL because Torts doesn't like him. He is there because he is no longer an NHL player.

29 other teams had an option to claim him for 1/4 price on reentry waivers. NOBODY DID. Nobody wants him.

Edit: I'm also glad that a player who hasn't been relevant in two years has the support of some fans over our Jack Adams caliber coach. Good to know that group of fans exists.

At this point the rangers cant give wolski away.... in a perfect world id love for the rangers to just pass the first round of playoffs... i wouldnt think too much about the trade deadline. if it happens it happens. just make another good "top six" signing in the off season again.

So until Sean Avery is freed from the blacklist he's been placed on by Torts & the league based on pressure from the liberal media, and able to play on the team where he rightfully should, I'll keep voicing my opinion.

As much as you guys hate him, even Sean Avery would benefit this team more than Mitchell and Bickel.

One of the biggest reason Avery wont play no more, is because he's gotten into some kind of disagreement with the CT Whale, and hasn't played at all for close to a month. I can't see him returning to NYR when he hasn't played a game in ages.

And, Zuccarello deserves the call up, I feel he got sent down too soon, when the whole team was struggling, and he's worked alot on his defensive game while down in the Whale, and playing PK alot too.

we win a game: no one mentions avery
we lose a game: we need sean avery.

by that logic: sean avery = 82-0 season.

Why what skill does Avery have?

Regarding Zuccarello: if he's never playing for us again, then why the **** in Messier's name is he still in our organization? Trade him for something we'll actually use.

He's not likely to bring back a whole lot and is a very important player to CT. Without him, I don't think they make the playoffs.

While I am no conservative myself, I can certainly recognize fellow posters' astute observations regarding the role of the media in Sean Avery's downfall. Such an excellent hockey player and model citizen for the NYR should be playing on the team today...and only external influences could be to blame for his absence.

LOL at this thread...

Win a game, "WE WANT THE CUP!"

Lose a game, "WE NEED AVERY! THIS IS A BAD TEAM!"

When are people going to realize that Avery and Zuccarello will never play another game for us?

I was one of the people who thought Avery earned a place on this team based on his camp. However, he isn't on this team anymore, and he's not going to be called up when we might need the cap space for a deadline rental, and his Hartford tantrum doesn't help either. He's done here, and probably with hockey all together.

Regarding Zuccarello, we don't have a place on this team for a PP/shootout specialist that can't take a normal shift. There's no place for him in the Top 6, and he's incapable of playing the kind of grinding/cycling game we need for the Bottom 6. I'm sure he could catch on somewhere else on a crappy team ala PAPsmear, but he just doesn't fit this team, regardless of his obvious talent.

Without Avery, the Rangers are one of the top 3 teams in the game, currently, but some think Avery is the answer. The question is to what.

This thread is hilarious. Have a few bad games, we suddenly need Avery/Zuc/whoever. It's a slump; these things happen. Forget it and move on.
