I thought Staal had one of his best games since coming back last night...

He looks a little slow, but he had the puck much more last night and was pinching often. I think he was brought back too early and was still nervous about his head, but you can see he's looking more comfortable.

I'd be lying if I said that his return has been as impressive as I thought it would be though. Still nervous for Staal.

So apparently you're one of those guys that doesn't know what the black rubber object is yet you're still passionate enough to come here to post.

Staal was MORE important that CALLAHAN last year? Are you kidding me?

As for Staal. He will be just fine. No one should be on his behind unless they have gone through a nasty concussion before. If you havent, than be quiet

Staal is having an off year. Whatever the reason. He is no Marek Malik, he will not decline for long. He'll be back very much like Tom Poti who proved his haters wrong.

He's absolutely right. It's a shame he's not playing at that level now. But McD is.

Which fans? Those who want Staal out alteardy? Too bad. Poti was treated unfairly by those who like to move away from TV or stands to grab another beer when we are on PK. Those so called fans do not get hockey. Staal will be alright. He is a talented kid. Those morons do not deserve him. Fans... my foot!

I'd wager that Staal is not even in half the shape he was last season. That's what not working out for months on end will do to you.

It's been hard for him. He joined the team midseason when all the other players around the league are already in tip top shape. He's going to tread water for a while... it's to be expected.

Not because Staal is a bad defensemen but for Cap relief and keeping Tim Erixon and hoping he gets stronger and brings more offense than MS .
Marc Staal's cap hit is barely higher than Wolski's. One of the best contracts on the Rangers and better ones in the league. We are going to trade him and then hope Erixon can get stronger?

This guy needs more time to round out his game. He is getting better.

It's dumb to trade Staal, top 10 defenseman in the NHL.

His value is low right now, he was an all star

I'm not an advocate of trading Staal, but it's hard to say he's a top 10 defenseman when he arguably isn't in the top three of his own team.

OMG Dorodo whatever that guys name is that trade proposal hurts man. Trade Stall for cap relief please tell me this is sarcastic joke. All i can say its good thing all u guys with Nash trades and dumping Stall and Dubi contract are not Tort who ultimately runs things. And i trust him somewhat. He knows what hes doing like giving princess WW half a game and dumping him because he realized he was the same princess he was before. and all the fans on here thought would be a top 2 line player. Goes to show me hes not stupid, he plays who doing good. Dont count on him trading Dubi either.

The guy suffered a concussion.

I remind you that he was unquestionably the #1 shutdown defenseman in the league before his brother decided to cheapshot his head.

He's returning to form with every game.

I attribute this to most of our fanbase being incredibly ignorant when it comes to Hockey at least.

I wouldn't really pin it on our fanbase. I'd say any hockey fan would be following the same train of thought in a situation like this.
