Tim Wallace-claimed by Lightning

Arthur Staple @StapeNewsday
Tim Wallace on waivers, Ty Wishart returned to BPT. Good sign that Hamonic is ready to return. #Isles

Good riddance. He's the epitome of a sweater filler.

Good to get him off the roster and back to the AHL where he belongs.

20 points in 24 games for Bridgeport, he'll be great help for them, not that they really need help.

Thank god lol. Just upset it wasnt Pandolfo or Rolston though. Even though Pando hasnt been bad as a 4th liner even thought he offensive production is nil

It also said that Wishart is being sent back to BP... I am losing track now, is there anyone else besides Hamonic coming back or were we already 1 over the roster with an emergency call up of wishart? If not we would have an extra spot open since two going down and one being activated. Haley?

This also assumes Poulin going back to BP when Nabby ready.

Good. Why was he heve here? Wallace should have never been brought up here to play ton the 4th line. He brings nothing to this team. Now if only Haley can find his way up here on the 4th line I would be happy. This team is so boring to even watch. No one hits, plays physical, drops the gloves in defence of a teammate besides for Martin. At least Haley would provide some toughness, hits physical play and drop the gloves. Just a soft small "finess" team. Pathetic.

Look Wallace may bring nothing in terms of results...but he played a hell of a lot harder than either Rolston or Reasoner and if I had to keep one of the three it would be Wallace.

With that said, I thank him for the effort...I am not heartbroken he was waived.

Must mean that they're keeping Ness when Hamonic returns and Wallace was the odd man out. Saves Chuckles a lot of money having him in the AHL as he's the only one on a two way deal.

I gotta be the only NYI fan who didn't think Wallace was the worst player in NHL history. He seemed to have some decent hands for a 4th liner. Not enough to justify a roster spot mind you, but I don't think he hurt the team. Not nearly as much as Nino (through no fault of his own) or Rolston (all his fault) hurt the team while on the ice.

I actually don't want Wallace to disturb the chemistry in Bridgeport. I'm a big fan of Kael Moullierat and Scott Howes. Howes hasn't really been producing much lately. However, Moullierat and Howes are versatile because they provide grit and would work nicely on the 3rd line. It's been quite the "feel good" story to see all of these PTO players contribute so much to this run.

Trent Hunter is the worst player in NHL history.

My issue is not that Wallace is being waived. My issue is that you could easily make the case that Wallace has been more effective in his role than two other guys on our roster who we brought in on purpose at the NHL level earning NHL dollars. Wallace came in and played the 4th line grinding role just fine. I never saw him let up in the effort department. I also saw him try a few things with the puck that 4th liners don't tend to do. Of course, he did some of that with Pandolfo at center (who is basically a black hole for offense.)

Also, while we're at it, can we get Ullstrom back up here? Put him with Bailey and Martin. Have a decent 3rd line again. Keep Reasoner, Rolston and Pandolfo on the 4th line and play them minimal minutes (if we're forced to keep that **** together.) *GASP* We could also trying playing Nino on a line with some offense to it instead. I know it's such an unreasonable thing to try because our 5-on-5 offense has been on fire for so long now...

Bringing up Ullstrom wouldn't fix most of our problems, but it should earn us a bit more puck possession time. Ullstrom also was productive in very limited ice. That should mean something I would hope. We'd still have a terrible mixture at forward overall, but it would be a little bit better. We have far too many players that can defuse an offensive effort all by themselves who are weak against physically strong teams. That'll take time to fix.

I really, really, really hope this means that Hamonic is back. It's hard to tell whether our offense or defense sucks more right now. Hamonic helps us get the puck back more often and transition it.

It's painful how much we're relying on a 21 year old.

Scratch that, it's painful how much we're relying on TWO 21 year olds. GET THESE KIDS SOME REAL ****ING HELP!!! FOR THE LOVE OF ****ING GOD!!!

,
Mitch

No your not alone. I'd rather have him than R & R twins, but lets face it Wallace is really an AHL player and will help the Sound tigers on their playoff push. I'm just happy Hamonic is back.

Man, Stevie Y. sure loves ex-Isles. No wonder Tampa Bay isn't playing well this year.
