As much as I would love to get rid of Brashear, a 2nd round pick is too much to do it. Even though we have an abundance of them.

Maybe, but you're giving up Brashear and his salary, which has negative trade value. I would do this deal just to get rid of Donald.

However, If I was dealing with Boston, I'm really interested in Nick Boynton and Sergei Samsonov. I'm not giving up Mike Richards, Jeff Carter, or Joni Pitkanen. The rest of our youngsters could be had in the right deal.

not worth a second to dump him though, it is not like primeau will set the world on fire. Trading a 2nd can get you a much better player IMO,especially on d if they choose to go that route.

Brash cap hit is 1.8 for the full season and at trade deadline is minimal. And he is a UFA so not needed to resign. He is not negative trade value - not a great player - but not a dump or negative value.

The second is too high for WPrims.
