I think if you could get a guy like Parise, especially with his work ethic and how that fits and would rub off on the team in a good way, that they would make the necessary adjustments.
If Parise is trying to set the record for highest paid forward or trying to get a decent deal on a contender will decide I guess.
Pitt won a cup top heavy with Crosby, Malkin and Fluery being the main guys, but how often does that happen?

There is definitely a window where you could trade Thomas in the offseason, gain whatever Rask's new contract is from the 5 you save with Thomas, Savard and hopefully not Horton's money, sign Parise and still keep Lucic, Marchand etc for the next couple years.

Are the B's, after winning a cup and changing the culture here from the Sinden/O'C days, finally a place guys want to play and would make that work out money-wise?

Guess we'll find out
