Hey guys, didnt go through the whole thread but how did Hal Gill play? I saw he got an assist but overall how was his game? Has he delivered so far like he did for us in Montreal?

we finish 2-1-1 against them this year taking 5 of 8 points.

Last night the first 10 minutes or so were kinda hairy, but then everything seemed oddly in control to me. I was happy with the flurries we had late in the first and to start the second, and then I thought we pretty much took it to them. D Sedin was on the scoresheet bc of a penalty, the rest of their money guys were MIA. Kesler had a couple of deflection chances, but that was it. Everything else was outside or really didn't challenge pekka. I guess every game there are 5-6 great chances, and another 10 chances that a team could pot one, but I bet I could count on my hands how many legit chances they had, and most were due to 35 being bored and getting out of position. Heck the goal they got was fortunate bc of a blown edge and an unlucky bounce.

Vancouver fans can cry all they want, last night they were beaten by a better team. Nashville outplayed them in every facet-PP, SH, and ES. We deserved those two points.

bigger question is.....what is gonna happen to Arnott tonight to have him avoid playing here again?

Solid. He pretty much neutralized Ryan Kessler when they were on the ice at the same time. I like his PK work, but what really impresses me is the ease in which he removes people from in front of Rinne. We really need that. Weber and Suter do a decent job of that, but a lot of times they get stuck playing the puck or out on the boards....Gill seems to be perfectly fine being Rinne's best friend in front of the net.

Looks like he's been giving great effort, too. The one thing that concerns me is that he's pretty slow (like Andrew Brunette slow)...but I think he makes up for that a little bit with his reach. I like that he's been paired with Roman Josi.

On page two of the thread I clarified the comment a bit. While Anders obviously has more intel than us (or Eklund lol), he said at the end of the day it's just his feeling and he could easily be wrong.

anders has been suter's teammate for a while... ill trust his feelings over eklund's "sources"..

"almost 100%" ... what more do you need? like ive said ive been hearing suter is gone for a little bit now.. I expect his rights traded for a draft pick.

anyways awesome story! anders sounds like a great dude to have beers with!

I doubt Lindback knows Suters situation but fun story either way. His mind can change in an instant.

Lots of trades to be made and hockey to be played to know Suters position.

Great depth pick up for the Preds.
I'm glad to see Yip doing well.

Getting waived must've humbled him, when he was on the Avs he didn't do anything you mentioned. He'd look lost in the neutral zone, half ass fore-checking, and everytime he had the puck the cycle would be broken because he'd get a little love tap and fall down.

I donno what changed in him, but it seems like instead of him thinking he deserves a top 6 role he's realized he probably will have to be a bottom 6er to stay in the league.

Im assuming the thread got deleted by the mods, so repeating what was in it is probably not a good idea

Gill is exactly what we needed. He's the reason our shorthanded goal was created last night. Loved his domination of Kesler. Basically, we like him.

That is cool. His absense is already hurting us, and despite his shortcomings in terms of speed, he brings SO much more to the table. You guys are lucky to have him.

I am now officially a Preds fan.

You should come visit!

I thought it was just so wrong that Lindback's name was inadvertently left off the program on Tuesday night. We get someone who's 6'7 and suddenly the 6'6 guy doesn't even rate a mention.

I would like nothing more. I travel quite a bit to the US for work, but have yet to be in Nashville. I have only heard great things about the city though.

OR... and bear with me here because this is going to be absolutely unorthodox... do we start having new folks create the GDT until we lose again? Hoarding started one that got us out of the small slump. Shea hijacked it, and we got the second in a row against a team that, if you haven't heard, is sort of decent at hockey. Do we get a new name in for this game? Who has more than one win against the Blues?

Yeah SLake has it right; I asked one of the mods to have it deleted after it started making the rounds on Twitter. The tale was largely about how cool / normal / approachable Anders was and how I had a night I would never forget.
