I remember a couple years ago, Nashville had a young player who was kind of struggling to secure a full time job in the NHL, didn't make an immediate impact. They ended up waived him. Probably expecting him just to serve as a stop-gap, Atlanta picked him up and now he's legendary to these boards. Rich Peverley.
Not saying he's necessarily going to be as Rich Peverley, but maybe we shouldn't write him off as a 3rd liner just yet. I remember not too long ago, this entire website was drooling over him, wasn't he "untouchable" at one point. And now after a mere 42 games in the NHL, people seem to have capped off his potential as that of a 3rd/4th line energy player. Let's wait and see what we have here.

And then, he was traded to the Habs and suddenly became a bust according to hfboards...
Sort of pissed. Going to the Dogs game tomorrow with ^^^^, was hoping to see him.
Part of me (the part that is very suspicious) wonders if this wasn't the intent in and of itself. They (probably a pointy-haired marketer) want to make a big deal about Blake's first game in the Bell Centre, and have orchestrated it so that it will happen in a Habs uniform - not a Dogs one.

I may regret saying this, but i have a gut feeling that Geoffrion will make more of an impact on this team than Bourque.

Doubt it - if anything, they'd want to sell tickets for tomorrow's game and fill the Bell (it won't sell).
Also - not like the Habs need to do anything to sell more tickets. 21,273 will be there next time with or without Blake.
But if this means Kostitsyn trade is coming up, I'm not going to be a happy camper.
Agreed unless the return for him is amazing. Will be cool to see a 4th generation of the family suit up. I would be happy if he ends up somewhere between his dad and his grandfather.

I'd be happier if he ended up somewhere between his grandfather and great-grandfather
Personally I think he should have had some more time before getting called up but whatever, let the kid get a taste of the big show. Very excited, that trade has "home run" written all over it for us.
They probably have a copy/paste special for Palushaj...
If you think Palushaj is bad, look at Evan Oberg (TB):
