Folks, general question. Ticket Exchange has the cheapest in the high 70s. Two weeks I passed on 50 dollar seats.
I can't afford beyond 65. Am I doomed; or will ticket prices drop as the game nears?
I was wondering if say on Monday people will get desperate and begin selling low as the game approaches?
Possible or unlikely?

What about Craig's List, very few for sale right now, will that increase?
Last, if nothing else, scalping? Good or not?

Driving and parking in and around MSG can be more troublesome than one might think.

I would always recomend taking public transportaion to MSG especially considering it sits right above Penn Station.

The chances of anybody finding tickets for face or below face is very low right now. Bad news for most people, unfortunately

However, there are some Ranger Devil tickets in Newark available for $50.00 right now on Ticketmaster. I just bought 4 of them, and there are plenty more!

I like to use Icon on 30th near 9th or if that's full another one further down 30th towards 8th. These are convenient if you're coming in from NJ.

How things have changed. Up until the early 90,s I used to drive in and park at a lot 2 blocks away for free. This outdoor lot would charge people to park during the daytime but never bother to charge during the evening. There were alway about 20 cars there from Rangers fans(the lot was small only about 40 spaces). I guess they figured it didn,t pay to put somebody there at night to collect money and they only catered to commuters. If I recall there were a scattering of these small lots that didn,t charge at night within walking distance to MSG

If you know the answer why ask.

Just don't see why anyone would try and drive around manhattan and find parking on a Saturday if they don't know what they are doing.

My opinion would be to drink beers and take a train, to each his own. Have fun see ya there

Dexter - there is a garage on 34th between Madison and 5th or Park and Madison. They do not charge the "Garden rate"

My 314 D's just sold for $150/seat for Sat Vs. Buff... INSANE!!! I'll take it now bc I'm sure the Rangers think that since 30 seats sell at these prices they whole upper deck should be that expensive. My seats are gonna be $100/seat next yr and then people on here on HF can go back to offering me 1/2 face value per usual...

I spoke to a friend of mine who works in the MSG ticket department in a mid level management position and he told me that prices for next year are still being discussed but the increase won,t be as high what some are anticipating. As far as getting $150 per seat that is about right. I sold 3 tickets for that game at $125 each a few weeks ago before the market exploded but considering that the Rangers are in first in the conference and play in NYC $150 for a Saturday night game is reasonable.

Great news if true. Maybe they're realizing that if they raise the prices drastically it will chase a ton of people away.

I can see the reasoning behind not raising prices too much next year--they had trouble selling the price increase to season tickets in the lower bowl over the summer (and season ticket holders in the 300 and 400s have seen close to a 50% increase since the lockout) and the rennovations are still going on. Plus, the while the economy as a whole has gotten better, the big buck earners in NYC didn't have a great year (bonuses are down in the financial sector and bankers are also feeling the pinch) and everyone else haven't really seen much of an increase (if any) in wages.

It makes sense not to piss off season ticket holders too much--even if the team is playing well. But, we'll see soon enough what the Garden considers a "reasonable" increase.

OK

Few things:

1) Ranger TixEx...found a pair for 69 (less fees)....should I take them or wait to see if I can get it down 65 or 60 or 55?

2) Craig's List...found a pair at 80 per (relatively cheap)...same thing.

(I just don't want to buy and then kick myself seeing 60 or 50 dollar seats later)

Otherwise:
3) I am going to likely drive, how pricey is parking and suggestions on where?

It is Monday night.
Because I am coming from CT...so it cost 30 per round trip.
I have to go to GCT then take a subway.

How much will it be to park safely?

take the first option, take them now. market is going to go up as it gets closer.

as pat said drive. theres a website called primospot.com, lists all traffic and parking regulations all across manhattan for free street parking, also has garage rates if thats the option u want to take.

I'm traveling with my little brother and mom, got us all tickets from Stubhub for the Carolina game in between. But for these two games its just me, and because it sucks to go to games alone (sniff) I was hoping someone here had an extra ticket and maybe would be willing to show a foreing Ranger fan around the Garden.

Let's go Rangers.
Still looking for one for the Islanders game 3/11, 300s or 400s.

If you can't find one on here, there are some for under a $100 on the Ticket Exchange.
