the clip is up on rds...lol
Pk takes down DD as part of a play, DD goes after PK with a push they get into a little scuffle, they are seperated and then it looks like they're just talking heading to the bench....

wow..big deal

we know pk doesnt hold back in practice and he shouldnt
I think thats the problem with alot of players, they practice at 50% and expect to be able to play at 100% during games.

you have to go 90% (the other 10% is being more careful not to injure team-mates). When you practice at high intensity and things are not going well ppl will get into little fights

none of the habs have actually said anything bad about pk so far

Gill even almost went out of his way in his interviews when he was traded to show how highly he thinks of PK.

He'll get hated on for it but there needs to be a player like it on teams to keep people from getting into a loser mentality. These skirmishes seem to happen after bad loses. And they aren't from disagreements but rather being overly aggressive. Subban seems to up his intensity during practices after these types of losses. All it shows that despite being a lottery pick team, they care.

I agree with your analysis of their practices.

You can't blame a guy who practices as hard as he plays. It just so happens that this leads to a few skirmishes here and there. I'd much rather that than someone who doesn't take anything seriously.

Cammalleri, Pleks, DD, always mouse players who can't play the mans game. Time to bring toughness and intimidation back.

It's always easy to scuffle when you've got 3 or 4 teammates to intervene.

It's just never Subban's fault. Never. The practice problems, the problems with coaches, the slew footing. The lack of offensive productivity. The lousy performance on the PP.

It couldn't be. It can't be. It wouldn't be fair to look at it that way.

Cognitive Dissonance all over this board. Sorta funny.

Sorta sad. Actually, very sad.

Ugh, can it.

PK is confrontational and ultra-competitive. That leads to such things as the occaisional scuffle.

No one here has a problem with any of those things. Why would you?

He's a kid. He's learning. Better to give him second chances than chase him out of town like we've done to every other talented youngster to come through this city. Chill out.

Maybe we should trade PK for Skinner...oh wait, he got into a fight at practice too. Just no one cares there.

What I love the most about these ''incidents'' is how players insist that they happen all the time. They are telling this to the journalists who attend every single practice and who know that these incidents do not in fact happen all the time. But the journalists still buy it. I wish I could be a sports journalist, it seems like such an easy way to make six figures.

Guys, I hate to say it, but this seems to me like a clear cut sign that the unimaginable is finally happening. We've seen glimpses of it for years. Looking back, I think it's all pretty obvious what's going on here. It is, without a doubt, the end of the world as we know it. Sell all your worldly possessions, doing some living because this is as clear a sign as ever that the prince of evil is among us and that mankind, no the world, no the entire universe is about you break at the seams. I give it a week, week and a half max before everything everywhere is no more...

...but seriously, this **** happens. It's part of being competitive and of course the media is going to blow it out of proportion. Nothing to see here, move along

I've played sports with people like PK. They only have two speeds: on or off. Most experienced sports players adapt to the situation and level, exerting themselves accordingly. Then there's players like PK who seem to go all out no matter the circumstances. It's probably pretty annoying for players that play or practice at a lower level, but at the same time the same players are probably thankful Subban plays with that super intensity during the game. I don't think there's anything to worry about here.

PK with a little too much intensity here. It's fine to practice hard but it's another thing to go overboard and tackle guys down with plays that would result in penalties during games. I'm sure if PK just positioned himself in front of DD, then there would no problem.

I know if I was DD i'd have said something as well. No one like to be taken down with a Choke Slam that would put to shame any WWE wrestler

That wasn't a choke slam. Looks like PK was trying to brace his fall more than anything. I'd rather have intense players like PK on the team than someone who doesn't care.

Getting very sick of the overreaction regarding practice incidents. PK takes practice as seriously as a game, he should be congratulated rather than condemned.

you know whats sad?

ppl like you who think they know everything hockey related believing their opinion is a fact.

How bout you just read a few articles about pk here and there.
Hockey experts all agree that he'll be a great player.
Jesus christ he's in his second season. How can you blame the lack of offensive productivity and dismal PP on him? He's a defenceman, shouldnt the forwards be concern with offensive output?

he's still maturing. Most ppl are not that mature at his age.

There are somethings you can blame on him and those are hopefully things that get ironed out of his game with time, but common to blame everything on him on his second year?

Need more players like PK on this team. How can you practice at 50% and expect to accomplish anything? You go hard and try not to injure your players.

Not that big of a deal. But that push by Subban was totally unecessary. This is freakin Desharnais we are talking about here. And contact in practice are usually made shoulders to shoulders, pushes like that are plain stupid. So PK hasn't done growing.

Yes, and far too many other players on this team take games as seriously as practice.
