Ellis is still just a role player who needs a lot of protecting at even strength.

****** ****ing period.
Better wake the **** up.
Cube sucks, so does Klein. I keep on hoping Klein will change, but hes the same as he always has been. Making the same mistakes a rookie makes and he does it consistently. Idc what players hes facing, he does it way too much.

Two total .. should have been three, but, the inexplicable wave off on the icing before their goal cost us one.

If not for some solid late-period saves by Pekka it could easily be 3-0 Blues lead.
Not our best 1st period this season, but not exactly the worst either IMHO.

I didn't have a stream up on the first goal. I was listening to Pete and Terry and it sounded like they were surprised that icing wasn't called.

Blues fan...I think they gave the Blues that icing because of the slash on McDonald. Just a thought.

Fair amount of Blues fans at the Bridge; a STL v NSH playoff series would be awesome, and its probably going to happen.
Not a great first period, but we have 3 or 4 posts and at least one opportunity that everyone thought was going in. Smithson / Klein / Cube are the low points thus far; Pekka has been fairly solid and some forwards have also.

I'm not Klein hater. When he is playing well he is a bargain for us BUT so far haven't like what I've seen for the Klein-Boullion pairing and Yes I know small sample size. We'll see what happens.
Haven't been too impressed with that pairing either. I was surprised when Josi got demoted. However, their shortcomings and errors get blown out of proportion most of the time. On that goal, Klein played that pretty well, but everyone still tries to blame him when it clearly wasn't his fault.

Aren't the Preds due some breaks on those calls? Been a few every game it seems...

Smithson drew a penalty, Yip sets up Josi who capitalizes on the delay. 4th line + 3rd pairing getting it done

I'm shocked he was wrestling Smithson down to stop his breakaway...it wasn't like he'd be a fierce scoring presence.
