Don't think these are desperate. He did nothing after firing the coach, no, any future moves will have been calculated moves thought up for a long time. Dean's main fault is that he doesn't do anything until he thinks he has to, and he doesn't do anything without thinking about it for a long time.
The trade rumor board is blowing up and salivating over the thought of browns availability now......I don't want to see him moved...consistent 20 goal scorer, hits like a train , great for checker, etc, we all know.
Sure he is in a funk right now, but there are other culprits on this roster besides him...this would be a mistake unless the return was significantly greater with us able to dump penner alongside of him.
Hey guys !! hope you all doing good. Just out of curiosity wanted to know what kind of package do you expect if Brown is really in play ? Only speculation now but just wanted to share opinions with you on what you'd expect from a team like the Senators for example?
If guys aren't going to play up to their ability, well some are going to get traded. The system is not scoring friendly and I personally don't like it at all, but NO system should result in the mass suckage in scoring we've seen lately on the ice.
I am also against trading Brown, but with his contract and perceived value around the league, it would be one hell of a return.

We haven't even being thinking about Brown "being in play," much less imagining packages for him
Judging by that clip, sounds like Bernier and Brown could be on the move, apparently to different teams. Presumably, trading Bernier would bring some salary back LA's way and force the Kings to trade Brown to make it all fit. Tampa was mentioned as one potential suitor for Bernier, which would probably mean someone like Malone coming back.
That's my guess, I wouldn't like it but that's how it sounded to me. Brown would probably be traded for prospects in that case.
I'm totally with you. Some Kings fans are upset about trading a member of the "Core."
Problem is, "Core" is not supposed to mean "Cocoon." This team needs to be jolted. This is one prime reason why I am totally on board with the Carter trade.

I don't get to watch a lot of Kings games but I saw some this year and I don't think Johnson isn't repleacable ... A big scoring winger will help you a lot as you seem to have trouble scoring goals right now

Probably something you'd think is nuts in all honesty. I could see a team like NYR giving Dubinsky plus something I haven't thought of yet. That's pretty damn hard to match from my perspective, I really never thought about getting Dubinsky before today, but I love the guy.

There's no question. This will result in more scoring, period. Carter has averaged 36 goals per season the last 4 seasons.

That makes no sense. Trade Stoll and or Penner for picks to free up salary
