I would like to congratulate our coaching staff for bending over and letting the rest of the league know that we are perfectly okay with our young kids being injured by dirty hockey plays.

I bet none of them has any balls to even comment on how beyond bad the officiating was tonight as well. Which is probably a good move by them as they dont deserve to be collecting a paycheck next season, better save every penny that they haven't earned this season. What a bunch of gutless cowards. It is sad to think that the guy in charge of all of it back in the day would have been out there trying to break bones if this would have happened in the 80's, to bad he is too busy polishing Katz's shoes to even seem to care anymore. Mike Gillis spoke up a defending his team last season in the playoffs when he had no legs to stand on, our joke of a management squad is perfectly happy with having lifetime contracts from their fanboy owner to give a damn. There almost seems to be a disease that has effected this team, the captain has it, the coaches have it, and managment has it. It is called complacency.

Hard for them to do anything when the coach staples them to the bench. Teubert would have kicked some ass out there.

So yeah, based on that nonsense I saw on "That's Hockey" don't expect Hartnell to get a call from Shanahan. Seems like a non-issue according to Kouleas and Button.

Corey Potter on the other hand... maybe he should unplug his phone tomorrow if those two idiots are right.

If that ever happened to Eberle while Teubert was on the ice, I'm pretty they'd be calling a coroner to the rink.

Hordichuk's last shift of the game was 4 mins before Paajarvi got run. If he's not going to play there, there's no point in having him.

can someone please photoshop Renney's face on there with a grinning Tambellini in the background.

Actually you are wrong on this one...please refer to the hit last year on Hall where Penner stepped in and fought.

I definitely would never say Penner is the "retribution King"...

I remember two plays one when Exelby took a run at Hemsky and Penner fought him immediate and the one against the stars player the he KTFO was after he took a run at Smid.

Say what you want about Penner being lazy, but he cared about his teammates and stood up for them

Penner is known to get a little cranky when the other team picks on his little buddies. He usually goes into Beast Mode on nights like tonight.

Remember when Hall got rocked in Colorado and Peckham decided to stop playing hockey and go after the guy. Well they scored on a breakway and won the game.

You are never going to outgoon a team like the Flyers. Just make them pay on the PP, which we would have done if the refs were doing their jobs. Our PP was awesome today.

Teubert got TKO'd by a non-fighter who was also smaller.

On another note, I miss George Laraque. Maybe that's why Hemsky's been hurt the past years. No Laraque to protect him.

Penner was never the retribution king because he played with hemmer, never hall or eberle i think that's right at least.

I do recall Penner sticking up for hall at some point and thats what we need, It makes me sick when the kids are in a scrum and horcoff lazily skates over and does nothing as the captain, If you arent going to score, win faceoffs or play well defensivly atleast pull a samwise and get yourself beat up to make a statement

You can also see here(20 seconds in) that Penner was ready to be the 3rd man in when Gagner fought Kesler in his rookie season. He stopped once he realized Gagner was willing.

I heard he's worse when his value meal at BK doesn't come with large fries.

Ya I remember that....he's been involved about 3 times. As for being a fighter, no.

100% agree about Horcoff. I know this topic has been beaten to death but I can't wait for the day Horcoff doesn't plague this team anymore and the Oilers finally have a real captain.

Man what I wouldn't give to have a prime Jason Smith on this team right now.

I can't believe how many of you are mad about the Oilers not gooning it up in the third. When does that happen in today's NHL?

This team needs to stand up for each other. I know some guys were stapled to the bench after that hit, but those weren't the only two that could have sent a message. Moreau got a lot of abuse in his later days here, but this is what needed to happen to Hartnell tonight. I love this clip. The second Moreau is off that bench he's a Brown seeking missile.

The Oilers could have killed the Flyers without the cheap shots if the refs actually called penalties.

Love that Moreau play. Say what you will about the guy, but if you do stuff like that consistently you are worth every penny.

Guys need to play with balls. Not hall, eberle, RNH....

If you're not scoring, you better be fighting, or at least rough. And dammit, don't take anyone's crap. I play sports at a much lower level and I would confront anyone that does a dirty knee play like that one. And I don't get paid to play sports for a loving.....let alone millions.
