I do watch Buffalo, watched every game this season. And I have hope that Stafford will be better suited to help our bottom 6 then be jammed into the Sabres top 6 and infuriate everyone

I think Lindy mis-uses him.

Dont know if it has been mentioned but about brown.
TSNBobMcKenzie
LAK will decide based on quality of offers. But given considerable interest from multiple teams, decent chance he moves. #TradeCentre #tsn

So it pretty much means this: Only see Brown moving if it's an over payment, and with multiple teams interested, more than likely that is going to happen.

So, who is going to be the next captain? Richards? Mitchell (if signed to an extension)?, Greene? Kopi?

It's hard to say. Part of the brush off of Richards' history with the Flyers was that he gets to shed the 'C' and focus on hockey, but at the same time, there is a vast reduction in media in LA. Richards doesn't have the scrutiny if he wears it or not. Brown isn't really scrutinized.

On the other hand, we have players that have been wearing 'A's for a long time. Particularly Kopitar. He is arguably our best player, arguments for Quick notwithstanding (can't wear the 'C' anyways). He should take more ownership of the team, but historically, he is the same as Brown, not vocal. Who knows... Gagne, Mitchell, Richards, Carter and Greene have all worn letters. Obviously Carter is brand spanking new. Another shot for an 'A' could be Doughty, kind of for the same reasons it was given to Kopitar. Needs to take ownership, though he seems like a more vocal kind of guy, though might not be the best role model...

Moving Brown is the stupidest idea imaginable. No one is going to give the Kings top value, and mark my words kids, if Lombardi moves Brown I'm done as a Kings fan.

given the sellers market, browns cap hit, and his improvement on guys like hemsky, dl should listen to all offers on brown without hesitation.

If this team misses the playoffs I will be amazed...the talent we have is insane...

Kopitar
Carter
Richards
Doughty
Quick
Williams
Brown
Gagne
Penner(lol)
Stoll
Voynov
Mitchell
Scuderi
Greene

Sad to see this team sitting outside a playoff spot and behind teams like Phoenix and Calgary...

Leaf fan here.. King fans interested in dealing Brown.. what would you be wanting in return? He'd be a perfect fit in Toronto.

I think some people here are underestimating Brown's trade value. There are more than a few GMs who would drool over adding Brown to their roster.

It's pretty obvious that Brown is on his way out. McKenzie doesn't fabricate.

If trading Brown makes the team better, then Lombardi should do it. This isn't the Los Angeles Dustin Browns; it's the Los Angeles Kings. I want the team to win, and if there's a trade out there that makes the team better then it needs to happen. If it's Brown, so be it.

Brown and/or Bernier might be on the move per Bobby Mac.

Trade Brown, for the love of god Dean.

Well said gents.

And here is something else to consider when talking about this....the Kings have failed to really make any head way the last several seasons with Brown...and Johnson as well...as part of the core.

This team has written a similar script almost every season for the last 2 years. Start strong, tank in December-January, recover in the spring and squeak into the playoffs. This season it's been the same, and worse.

After rotating varying guys in, like Handzus, Smyth, etc.....it's now Richards and it's more of the same...I dunno you have to think that Lombardi, like us fans, is getting really tired of it.

At this point, I honestly wouldn't be tuning out ANY trade proposals around any players on the team unless they are named Quick, Carter, Richards, or Doughty. (And in my personal opinion Williams)

Yes, even Kopitar. If you can trade any of these guys to make the current team better, then you should.

Guys like Brown and Kopitar have had a lot of time int his organization...at the head of things to make an impact, be a difference maker, and put the team on their shoulders..and they haven't delivered.

Come on now, Kopi is THE guy for this team until Quick resigns or Doughty starts to play consistently great. Kopitar will regain form soon enough, the whole team is struggling.
