Nice stat find (that sounds sarcastic, I promise it's not...that's not the kind of poster I'm trying to be here) but the way I'm looking at it is that the Islanders are going to come at us much harder than the Sabres will tomorrow. I'd be more confident this weekend to get Hank tonight and Marty tomorrow. I'll trust the coach though.

Lundqvist 9-8-2 against Buffalo; 23-11-5 against Isles
Biron 9-3-1 against Buffalo

Again I'll trust the coach, it's just funny that every time there's a back to back I'd have gone the opposite of what the coach does

Rangers should come out hot after a few losses in the past few games. Lets get it!

I hope the defense shows up tonight. They've been subpar lately.

Big time. No matter who we trade for, this team isn't going to go anywhere if the defense doesn't get back at least to where it was a few weeks ago (with the exception of Staal, who has been getting better and better, IMO).

Why not Hank tonight and Biron against Buffalo tomorrow?

Another decision I completely disagree with.

Reading the Islanders board has taught me that the Rangers are a dirty team. Good to know.

Biron starting tonight?

I mean, I only know of this situation and a few weeks ago where Biron started against the Devils instead of Lundqvist but is this a natural 'phenomenom'? Where Tortorella starts Biron against the game you'd think Lundqvist would get in back-to-backs (was the Devils game even a back to back for you guys?).

That's just really odd that Lundqvist wouldn't play a rival who you know is going to play hard. Both the Sabres and Islanders are similar threats, but given a rivalry, wouldn't you rather Lundqvist tonight?

Its a very smart thing for Tortorella to give Lundqivst rest and all.. it just seems like an odd choice of games (and then you can have Lundqvist get an extra day off before Monday night's game..).

We're the dirtiest, softest, most boring, trap playing, all they do is block shots, luckiest team in the league. Didn't you know that?

The Devils game was the first of b2b, with the Sabres next. It ended up working well for us though, because our offense couldn't even get one past Miller, but Hank went into GOD mode, and got a shutout too, and then won the shootout. But we played Biron against the Islanders in December, and won, so I guess Torts wants to try it again.

Must win tonight. They usually bounce back well after a loss like they had against Pitt. Gotta keep the comfortable lead in the conference/division. It would be awesome to get a win coupled with Devils/Bruins losses.

Torts not only has a thing for Bickel, he has a thing for publicly calling out Stralman.

Don't be too hard on them, their team is moving to Brooklyn to play in that new arena.

Seriously when have the rangers been down in a game and then "came out taking cheap shots and playing dirty"?

I honestly don't think we have one 'dirty' guy on our team, makes no sense.

It would make me a lot more comfortable if Torts didn't keep throwing Biron out there against our biggest rivals (Isles, Devils). Those should be Henrik games every time, IMO.
