It should be noted that right as Hartnell was confronting Potter the Oilers had a glorious scoring opportunity in the Flyers zone. Potter was aware of this because he ignored Hartnell and jumped in on the play. Why should Potter "answer" for a clean hit and ruin a potential goal?

Anyone else want to grab Simmonds but that ****ing punters helmet last night and punch him in the face?

I agree...its a non issue.

I think more attention should be paid to what the team did do in this game.

Dubnyk played on of the best games I have ever seen him play. Good on him...still not sold on him as a legit #1 goalie but he looked good last night.

The Oilers as a team had very active sticks. I saw play after play where they were intercepting passes and getting their sticks in the shooting lanes. I was very impressed with that because it showed a positional awareness that I haven't seen very much this year. That helped pave the way for the shutout tonight.

Solid games by bottom 6 players like Petrell.

This was a win Oiler fans should be very happy with.

That would be sweet, hopefully he returns and plays out the remaining string of games and wins the Calder
I thought it looked promising when he got up the way he did without needing help. That was a good sign right there I thought.

Its fortunate. But I still think Hartnell was looking for the knee on the play. I don't mind guys that deliver a solid check. But I can't stand playing guys that will submarine you or go knee hunting. That **** just destroys careers.

Yeah him being able to put some weight on it was a good sign, but we've seen guys miss a lot of time in spite of that. Glad that he's o.k. besides being bruised/battered as he has started to turn the corner. Hartnell still needs to pay for what he did though next time that we play IMO. I'd pay $ to see Paajarvi take up boxing and MMA in the summer and jump Hartnell next year when they play

it actually worked for matt greene and vinny lecav as well.

i also wanted to add in that if potter was a real team player he would have dropped the gloves and wrestled hartnell to the ground, because hartnell off the ice for 5 mins in exchange for potter off the ice for 5 mins is a benefit for the oilers. also if hartnell woulda rushed him he would have got the extra 2 for instigating.

Good news. I suspected that it was a charley horse by virtue of where he sustained the impact of the blow and how he reacted afterwords.

His game is starting to come around...it would have been a shame to see him take another step back at this point.
